They use Mascherano an awful lot there so that would surprise me if that was the case

I think that would be crazy but you never know with Barca. I heard they were thinking about signing Vermalen or Koscielny.

I don't think they would buy Wanyama to replace them.

Barca could get (and have) better players than Song.

Aye, you know what it's like though, big, strong on the ball defender. Song can do there, may be thinking as cover for Puyol/Busquets/Mascherano. Now Kieta's left, there is a gap for a back up midfielder as well.

    2 birds with one stone?

Agree mate, plus the fact that Liverpool paid more than £5m for him with nearly another £3m add on's.

Jack Rodwell isn't worth 5M let alone 20M anytime i have seen him play i am yet to be impressed.

Seems to have a wee bit of everything but doesn't excel either as an attacking midfielder or a defensive one.

Wanyama is nowhere near good enough for City.

Wanyama is miles away from a city player. Far from good enough

Oh, but Jack Rodwell is? Wanyama is twice the player of Rodwell. Stop buying into the premiership hype. Wanyama is a better centre-back than Savic and a better midfielder than Rodwell, Milner and Barry.

I'm not buying into any hype. Jack Rodwell is good young player who has had injury problems.

Wanyama isn't a very good centre back imo, better than Wilson but I'd much rather Rogne and Mulgrew and there is no way he is a better midfielder than Milner or Barry

You're the one buying into the hype thinking he is amazing

No, I've formed an opinion on him from watching him. And anyone who knows anything about football that has watched Wanyama and Rodwell extensively can only come to the conclusion that Wanyama is a far superior footballer. Rodwell really is a mediocrity, very little class or technique. Same as Milner. It was painful to watch the ball bouncing off all the over-hyped Englishmen against Italy.

I agree rodwell is just blueghhh, average.

But at the moment Milner and Barry are better than Wanyama, but i have no doubt in years to come Wanyama with experience will become a better player than these two.

The main difference between the two is Rodwell has done very well in the EPL, for a few seasons and Wanyama has done one good season in the SPL. Obviously Wanyama is worth no where near Rodwell's value!
