Nope, just seen two of my mates call them a very boring team to watch.

:56::56: some of the football they played in extra time was superb. They haven't been at there best but they still play amazing football.

Yeah that's what I said. They're probably both too used to watching the faster paced, counter attacking football of the EPL.

Spain are missing the finishing touch up top who is Villa.

I don't see teh point on Nevas crossing to nobody either. Llorente and him should come on if any.

I was kind of ranting about it on twitter a bit but Pedro should be starting. Or at least coming on earlier. He actually stretches teams.

The thing I find funny is that folk criticise the Spain defence. They've only conceded something like 5 goals in the past 3 tournaments :56:.

Anyone who says Spain are boring is a clueless moron. It is 90% of the time the other team who's style of football make the game boring, because they become so negative. Spain are great to watch

Pedro showed in his half an hour tonight why he should be starting. Absolutely great player

Portugal was very unlucky outstanding tonight the work rate was outstanding and the amount of pressure they put on Spain was very good .

Both sides had large spells in the game without that real killer touch in front of goal.

:56:Love all the Ronaldo hate in here do you know for a fact he decided to go last ? Maybe it was down to the manager aye .

I said that in my 3 scenarios. Even if the manager did tell him to go last he should have insisted. Terrible tactics having your number 1 taker going last.

Ronaldo will have more say than the manager anyway. If he wanted to go first, he would, regardless of what the manager says

I think it is safe to say he wanted to score the penalty that took his country to the Euro's final. Now he'll have to live with the niggling doubt he could have influenced the shootout by going 1st and setting a captain's example.

You could see the difference he made when he came on.

Yeh I thought Spain looked better with him on. I like Navas too but like a few others pointed out I almost feel he's wasted without having a target in the box to aim for.

Spain games have been boring but like someone said its nothing to do with them, if teams wanted to compete with them and beat them by playing football Spain would rip the pish out them, so they dont.

Had to laugh at Ronaldo at the end though, as other players were distraught, he just looked gutted he never got to take a penalty :56:

This is it exactly mate. Llorente in there especially would have had Navas creaming at the amount of crosses he'd get to do :50:

I love watching Spain play, I agree they have been a bit more stale than is usual for them this tournament, but by no means are they boring. I honestly think the choice not to start with a proper striker/finisher has contributed to this. While they have the players to cope (they are back in the final after all) the one thing they've lacked is that final ball through the opposition defence actually going to a willing runner. That's why Pedro made such a difference when he came on - even though he isn't a striker, he's one of the most willing runners in the world.

Just read on twitter that the Portoguese coach said he decided the order of penalty takers. Not sure how accurate that is.

Cant understand why so many people saying it was a poor game, i thought it was brilliant for a nil nil, full of action i thought.

Germany will pump the italians and beat spain though, They have a better goalscoring threat than Spain.

So i take it Dorgba must have demanded to take the 5th pen for Chelsea and schweinsteiger 5th for Bayern it happens.

    Lahm Mata
    Gomez Luiz
    Neuer Lamps
    Olic Cole
    schweinsteiger Drog

Considering how Drogba generally acts and that he got in a huff once because Lampard wouldn't let him take a pen when he was chasing the golden boot he probably did demand to take the winning pen. Doesn't make it right either. Just got away with it.

Just what I've always said. Brazil could end up playing a watennacio to try to beat them.
