Maybe I'm picking this up wrong so correct me if I'm wrong.

The idea behind the backs turned protest is all well and good. But because some here have stated they think it's a badly thought out idea when the action itself isn't going to mean anything to the majority of our support, the accusations are being made that some supporters are quite happy to let any newco huns straight back into the SPL.

That to me is an unfair statement to make. Just because the GB plan something it doesn't mean that everyone else in the stadium will even know what the protest is about. Unless the protest is widely known about many will spend that minute wondering what the * is going on.

Sorry guys, I'm happy to turn my back in the 15th minute but for the message to get across and have any kind of impact the plan needs to have some kind of visual impact perhaps together with some kind of banner. I mean what if the camera's were to pan onto the crowd with our backs turned what does that act alone tell the rest of the world?

If they were to come out and say the 15th minute because of 'x,y and z' I'm sure they would garner more support. It's all very random otherwise.

Agree with Lion, it's all or nothing. Either every single one of us, or none at all, have to be fully involved in something like this for it to be impactful and a success.

I am against this idea purely because I don't think there was/is enough time to get the message spread properly and as Lion said there will be thousands of people round the other side of the stadium looking at the GB thinking *? And maybe even misconsturing the action and mistaking it for a huddle, which will just all turn quite ridiculous if we're all doing different things!

The GB will have it well planned and thought out as usual mate, there will probs be a banner saying "Turn your back on the Newco" or something to that effect. HH!!

Hopefully the majority get involved and there's a banner as well. There may not be a reason for the 15th minute, we have to pick some sort of time to do it. Why not the 15th?

Hopefully it's a success because there's no way these * should stroll back like they haven't cheated Celtic and the rest of the SPL. As long as we get the message across.

67th, to signify we have achieved what they have liquidated themselves trying to?

Anything but a random number plucked from thin air :56:

I'm guessing the significance of the 15th minute is to preempt the rumours that the huns were going to walk out at 1pm, therefore 'turning our backs on them' while they try to state their case.

That is the only reason I can think of for the 15th minute.

What does it matter whether it's the 15th, 32nd or 67th minute though, the message is still the same.

They should include some chanting along with turning their backs. Doesn't need to be anything outrageous, just 'No to the Newco'

None of us are lining up for the Celtic at the weekend, as much as we'd like to.

The prospect of a newco hun mob bein reinstated makes my blood boil if this does happen every other spl team should put up some sort of protest too ,though as we are all aware the majority of them are huns wae no bus fair so doubt they will.

Great idea though lets hope the game is a bit boring at that time so the media can pick this up

I think that there is so much opposition from fans from the rest of the SPL that it should make them sit up and take notice and not allow them into the SPL.

Whether they will take note though is a different matter

I fail to see how the two are even remotely connected.

    We can achieve both.

Not a fan of the idea tbh. Hate these types of things, makes me nervous.

Always dread the huns scoring during YNWA/The Huddle etc. Can remember Rickson scoring during YNWA like it was yesterday!

If this does go ahead hopefully the majority join in. Would be a beamer if only like 40% bothered their arses.

I don't see it working. Half of our fans won't know what it's about, and the vast majority of other clubs fans won't either, the idea is pointless and should be done in a more effective manner.

If they scored during The Huddle it be a nightmare! :54:
