Brilliant debut, and I'd like to see more of him in the coming matches.
But he needs to be gently eased into the team. Last 30 mins here, wee start there.
Looks a cracking prospect and I've been looking forward to seeing him get a game, and he did not disappoint.

I played against him when he was at Airdrie in a pre-season game and he never managed to score so that's my claim to fame :50:

Joking apart, he's a great prospect for the future and took his goals well today. Hope he makes a couple more appearances before the end of the season along with the his other u19 team mates.

Agree with everything you said. Look at the way Alex Ferguson brings through the youngsters? While they usually start on the bench, (unless they are exceptional) they get 15-30 mins here and there quite regulary. He has even thrown youngsters on in Champ's League matches!! Every season Man Utd have youngsters bursting to get through the door and the ones that don't make it go on to do well at other EPL clubs and I don't see why we can't do the same thing at Celtic!!

Funny init, how people just a few weeks ago were saying we desperately need to sign strikers, well we've got Stokes and Hooper 2 proven goalscorers, Sammy when he turns up can * up ANYONE in Europe, Brozek looked good today I thought was unlucky not to score, and Watt & Keatings from the academy are ready to step up.

Plus we've got plenty midfielders and defenders who can score.

Good on the Bhoy Tony anyway, perfect debut and great to see yet more of our brilliant academy.

Watt really has been attracting the right kind of attention this year and it's easy to see why if that's the level he plays at. His finishing was excellent, his movement good and he got himself into another dangerous position when Cha scored. He could certainly be competing for a place next year if he keeps it up.

Even betters news is that he isn't the only player like this we have. Jesus, we're talking about the next generation coming through when the average age of the squad is 23!

From the odd clips i've seen of him and from what i've heard, he is pretty decent with his head. Something we have been crying out for all season. The balls that Forrest, Mulgrew, Commons, Sammy etc play into the danger areas constantly and no one gets on the end of has been...frustrating to say the least. If this kid is the natural finisher we saw today he will be our next 30 goal a season striker......

.....possibly getting ahead of myself here. McGeouch and Watt to be in the first team by Christmas next year, who knows. Reckon both should be on the bench agaisnt the scabby mob too.

The future does look good and I notice you haven't even included Bangura in this list, who could still turn out to be as good a striker as we were told he was when he first signed.

But if he doesn't we do still need something more.

Samaras is potentially brilliant but inconsistant and often best playing on the left of a forward three. I would be amazed if we sign Brozek permenantly and Stokes, as much as I like him, appears to be our own version of Kris Boyd (can score in the SPL but I do not think he is good enough to do particularly well in Euro competitions).

Keatings has struggled for game time at St Johnston but both he and Watt do look like great young players with a lot of potential, although I would prefer to see them used more regularly in the SPL before we consider them for the Champions League.

In an ideal world we will sign a proven, strong striker to partner Hooper, who I think is already a top class striker but I believe could still become much better if given the right person to play alongside. Somebody like Steven Fletcher would be ideal, although I realise for SF himself, his fee and wages would be outwith our budget, despite Wolves relegation.

Was just glad to see one of our promising youngsters come on and Watt made the difference yesterday. He's done his chances of starting in the near future no harm at all.

    Dream debut.
