    More ability and talent than the rest of the squad put together, but unfortunately I have to admit its not quite enough in todays game of powerhouses and athletes. A joy to watch with the ball though. Not often a player of his type comes around.

    Lack of fitness, consistency, versatility but what puts you off Paddy the most are the people who keep throwing him into the worlds best player arena.

    I am sure the guy would have a reddner if he read half the stuff that his comic book fan club think about him. He is a half decent player in a small fish bowl and a very nice lad.

    Best leave it that and let Batman and co save the world.

    Can't believe people have taken the bait from the OP. He regularly posts absolute nonsense, one of which if I remember correctly, was suggesting playing James Forrest up front on his own in a Europa League game.

    Anyway, on McCourt, a very good player on his day. However it is too rare and he will hopefully go on and impress for a smaller team.

    This is true. As for people saying he is still in Lennon's plans, i don't agree. I hope he gets a move to a club which picks him regularly. All this debating about Paddy's pros and cons is getting stale- the only fact about Paddy which is undisputed is that he never gets a proper run so most of us will probably never know how good or bad he really is.

    the reason Lenny doesnt play him is not lack of ability, its because he doesnt fit in the system.

    He is a useful player to have in the squad..and dont want to see him go

    Based on the logic of 'Paddy being the best player, and having more talent than anyone at Celtic' Surely that's a dig at our manager. Why is he not playing the 'best player'. Why did Strachan & Mowbray not pick the best player in the team.

    To say he is the best player in our team, after having watched the likes of Charlie Mulgrew week in week out, is ludicrous! I have a feeling Paddy McCourt has made a few accounts on TalkCeltic by the amount of bollocks I am reading about his ability.
