I think this is true to an extent. But if you consider most of the clubs we are likely to play in qualifying there is nothing to suggest they would do any better against the likes of Udinese and Athletico. We are a million miles behind the best and I think we are still quite a bit behind even 2nd tier European teams. But as mentioned by others we are still bigger and should be better than the likes of who we need to beat to qualify.

Just qualifying for the champions league proper this year is progress. If we can do this for the next few years then at least we can establish a base to move on from. But being a regular face in the champions league has to by the main ambition at the moment.

Linfield please. They are * * and its probably the closest we'll get to a derby atmosphere this season :56:

The only teams I would like to avoid are Slask Wroclaw and Molde. Even though I'm confident we'd beat them, it wouldn't be as easy as some of the other possible ties.

there are 3 qualifying rounds and a play-off. We're straight into the 3rd qualifying round. We're seeded for both the 3rd qualifying round and the play-off.

yes the lot of them are, Hearts and kilmarnock, are still fesh in my mind
when it comes to playing important games, and the biggest hurdle that we have to master is, getting passed the first 6 minutes of any game in europe, without going a goal behind.

  17. I would take any of those teams the Polish side Slask Wroclaw would probably be the hardest out of them all.Although i would be confident of our side beating them if need be but the one i would like most is Linfield would love to pump them rotten......

Yep that's defo something we need to work on, and fast.

Too many times it's seemed like the bhoys have been blown away by the noise and atmosphere of a packed parkhead, even the last derby where we destoryed the huns, it took us a good few minutes to get settled into the game and against good opposition you just don't get given any time.

I have faith in Lenny though. :shamrock:

Sorry if this has already been posted, in work at the moment and don't have time to scroll through. Does anyone know if we get the second leg at home as a default because we are seeded, or if its a case of how the draw goes? I need to book a week off today and looking to go to the away leg on my time off.

    Thanks in advance.

In theory yes, we should. However, it doesn't always work out that way. See last year for example when we played Sion away in the 2nd leg despite being seeded. I'm fairly sure this was also the case when we played Dynamo Moscow a couple of seasons back.

Fairly certain this depends on whether there's a higher seeded team playing in one of the competing cities on the same night, which with Rangers not competing shouldn't affect us.

So in short, we're almost certain to be playing away in the first leg and at home in the 2nd. :50:
