When I saw this picture I was shocked. Everything about it is to me very disturbing. Does this indicate the way the SPL officials view themselves and the way they believe the relationship with managers should work.

It's as if Neil is a schoolboy facing the headmaster.Ian Brines, I think his name is, is leaning forward into Neil's face and prodding him in the chest. This happened in the first half, before whatever happened at half time, so Neil has caused no controversy as yet, & yet he is sitting there being reprimanded like a misbehaving child.

It is the expression on his face which shocks me, Brines is showing Neil no respect and Neil is just looking downcast and shamefaced.

Can you imagine this happening to Walter Smith.

The officials in Scotland should treat everyone who works in Scottish football as intelligent adults, but looking at this picture it seems they don't.

The reason I've posted this picture is to let celtic fans far and wide see how our manager is apparently regarded in the SPL.

I hope you are as shocked as I am.

it does look a bit like a bit of a telling off , but until you know wot the brines is saying ,to much can be read into this picture.

in all honesty the treatment of neil by our own fans, on this very forum, disgusts me way more than that photo of brines.

brines is, and always will be, a thick useless *.

I think Neil can use this picture in his defence against his sending off in the Rangers game.

He is sitting calmly while in my opinion being physically abused by Brines, he is sticking his head into Neil and prodding him in the chest.

It doesn't matter that we don't know what was said, this should not be the way the SPL officials treat the people who work in their organisation.

If my boss did that I wouldn't stand for it, and as I said in the OP I don't believe Walter Smith or McCoist would get that kind of treatment.

Lets be honest if Lenny approached an official in that manner he would be hauled up before the SFA, it's like a teacher telling off a child, totally unacceptable imo.

Sure Neil is a big boy but the point is this picture shows the attitude of Mr Brines. It sticks frankly. he obviously doesn't regard Neil as an equal. So is he indicative of the whole SPL, I hope not.

You don't prod people and stick your head in their face, they are entitled to respect, you explain your criticism of them whilst treating them as intelligent adults.

If that happened to you while you were sitting calmly at work and in front of all your colleagues you would be angry?

I wonder if Neil prefers getting prodded in the chest by hun refs or stabbed in the back by his own supporters?

On a personal level i`d have snapped the finger off that rat and shoved it up his left nostril.

Invasion of personal space to me is a no-no and i think Brines is looking for a reaction, doesn`t matter what was being said to Lenny, Brines` whole body language is invasive and typical of someone trying to pick a fight.

Well done to Lenny for not giving the * what he wanted, only in this country can officials get away with * like that.

    * yer SFA,slimey ,toerag * that they are.

You have got to take some threads and posts with a pinch of salt, especially after a defeat. For instance, if you brought up the IRA chant debate on here - you would get a staggering amount of people against it. However, if you are attending away games, it's clear the majority of our support get involved. I guess I'm trying to say, just because there's a good few stabbing Lennon in the back on here, it will most probably not be that way with our support.

I've yet to hear many people have a dig at Neil Lennon at games anyway, of course there's comments in anger but most of our support are firmly behind him.
