London Road Tavern on old firm day/night

Isn't this pub at the edge of Springfield Road? I've heard Celtic fans use it on Old Firms, how can this be? Doesn't the police put a line up stopping Celtic fans using that area?

 

I was in last old firm, was that * I couldnt even tell you how I got to the stadium didn't even remember the game lol

 

I was in it last old firm,bouncin, They only have one door open. The other door and windows on London rd side boarded up

 

On London Road they do generally have many Polis, dogs, vans for obvious reason in big numbers at Brigdton and they are permanently stationed outside the usual mutant pubs, Crimson Star etc, other than that there does not seem to be any special arrangement on Old Firm Day

 

The turnstyle doesn't open for old firms

 

When you come out of the Tavern you can't turn right and head down past turnstyles as the police lines won't let you. The road pass the police line is lined with riot vans and mobile cells. When you come out of the tavern You have to turn left and walk round that way.

 

ok, that is ideal really as I am in the Lisbon stand anyway.
May stick to the Prince Charlie, problem is it's a fair walk from the ground.

 

what game are you on about ?

 

Im in Lisbon lions stand as well and drink in the tavern for most games.

Including Hun games.

 

the tavern is the best bar in the world jelly an ice cream
