I wouldn't be too upset if he left- he has given us some great moments but starting to get a bit sick of him to be honest.

He is not related to a footballer..never has been ..and I am not saying that because of tonight..Look at my previous posts going back a couple of years. He has had a few gooid games granted but that's law of averages stuff,
I really have my doubts about Lennons managerial skills when I see him playing Samaras,He should of booted him years ago after the cup exit..

too inconsistent his time is done

celtic is too big a club to put all their faith in this one man

no doubt on his day he's fantastic but most of the time his play is just not good enough

thanks for the memories though you big handsome * :56:

But why is this the case? Would it perhaps have anything to do with his attitude and performance?

I'm fed up watching his half arsed performances. Sometimes he is capable of playing a blinder but quite frankly it's not worth sitting through the 6 garbage performances he puts in between each good one. I hope we empty him at the end of the season.

Sammy was no worse than any of our other attackers/forwards tonite and over the whole cl campaign in general. Stokes, Commons , Pukki , Derk and indeed Sammy have offered little in Europe this season so it is unfair imo to attach much of the blame on one player.

Guys I have a simmiler problem as samaras when I play, if things aren't going my way, my teams way etc. I will get frustrated and play even worse. Me personally, I get angry with myself, samo doesn't get mad, he just look more uninterested the worse the game gets. This is not something a professional football player should have problems with. In order to make it as a footballer, that is one of the most important attributes for an up and coming football player to have. I know I couldn't make it as a footballer due to this problem.

Problem is that lennon can't get his head round this. If anything samo should be used as a sub when we are winning so his mind set is positive.

We all know what he's like, he has a laconic playing style and no-one will be able to change that but if you play him properly and give him support from his teammates which didn't happen until at least 80 minutes into it then he'll be completely ineffective.

He was absolutely crucial last season from the qualifiers to the Spartak game, people were cursing our luck when he was injured for the Juventus match...

Even this season he was our best player at home to Karagandy, Elfsborg and Barcelona.

Sammy is the most technically gifted player we have. People will put up with lazy performances, at least I will, in the SPL for a return from him in the CL. This year he has failed to deliver in the CL, not just last night. With his ability he should be up there with previous Celtic legends but because of his inconsistencies this will never happen.

Commons is more technically gifted than sammy, as is Izzy and Van Dijk. Izzy, Van Dijk and Commons have the work rate though.

Felt so * sorry for Matthews past night.

    Disagree.

Sammy gets by due to his size, speed, and strength. I think he's quite poor from a technical point of view.

Said the other day that I wouldn't be overly fussed if he does go at the end of the season. His bone idle attitude at times is something that gets right on my nerves. And his inability to look up and play a simple pass, instead of putting the head down and running into trouble, which has been evident in every Group game this year.

For me Commons although exceptional in the SPL is out of his depth in Europe. Izzy is a defender who can be suspect in defence and is not better than Ok at delivery. I forgot about Van Dijk.
