Always liked big Sammy, one of the few players who works his socks off for the team, even if he's having a bad game. I will admit his form's been patchy over the last 2 years but he brings something to the team no other player does, he's big, strong, wins majority in the air and has the ability to knock the ball by players. Amazing what confidence and support can do for you, has been on top form in the last 2 months, producing some big performances in Europe and starting to score now in the league. Has all of the characteristics of a player who could play in the best leagues in the world..... And he delivers against the Huns !!!!!!!!

This is one thing that sticks out for me, he works so hard for the team, it makes it obvious that some of his critics just want to stick the boot in for the sake of it, the amount of people that accuse him of being lazy and not up for it is ridiculous, even when he's having and absolute mare of a game he's still always looking for the ball and always running, Sammy being lazy is the same sort of myth that people peddle about Ki being lightweight, it's based on nothing.

I won't deny for a second that Sammy's form is erratic, it is, but I'll never question his effort, same as Brown who I don't particularly rate as a player but I know he gives 100% everytime.

Samaras is probably the biggest confidence player I've ever seen in a celtic shirt, so it's no surprise that when the crowd turns on him for the slightest mistake, for lack of a better term he goes into his shell, but one or two decent games with the crowd behind him and he just looks fantastic.

There's no question that Samaras loves the club, he could have moved on before now and opted to stay, the support just has to stay behind him and urge him on.

I think everyone knew he had talent,it was just the fact he rarely produced it is what * most folk off.

    Hope he keeps this form.

You can level many things at Sammy but being crap is not one of them.

Sammy was great today but I still think hes the best out on the left wing where he can take players on.

    We are all Samaras.

Sammy has proved a lot of the fans wrong in my opinion. I always knew he was capable of doing quite well, he just never showed it.

No he hasn't! He's been on a great run of form for the past couple of months, but that doesn't change the fact that he's been rank-rotten for the vast majority of his time with us.

I applaud his recent efforts, but I want to see it sustained until the end of the season!

PS - I think his switch to the wing has been the best thing to happen to him. Far FAR better winger than striker!

Think Henke might want to dispute that one! :50:

Funny that is work-rate has been praised greatly in here and that's one of the things his biggest critics always try and peddle. He's always worked so hard, even when playing poorly.

Glad we're getting the best out of him now, watch Sammy shine.
