    He had a good game last night, couple of passes went astray but he provided 2 assists which can't be bad. One thing I did find frustrating was he keeps diving into tackles, meaning he either gives away a free kick or makes it easy for the man to go past him. Still, credit to him for tracking back and doing his bit defensively.

    I honestly think he was inspirational last night. Was a fighter up front, was a man to be feared in defence. His head was on the end of everything.

    I was thrilled by his performance and once again showed why he got his improved deal.

    Will he keep it going? Too hard to call. He's been amazing for Greece recently as well.

    He does mate, he's a european style footballer. It's why he always does well for his Country. The tight spaces in the SPL don't help him. But, every player should be able to adapt.

    No matter how much I've previously hoped that he will come good, I decided last season (for the sake of my sanity) that Sammy is NOT a player... and probably never will be!

    A cameo appearance every 20 matches is not enough!

    A Celtic striker should be able to perform week in week out and score goals, Sammy did a lot of good things last night but he remains a very inconsistent player.

    What's with all the Sammy bashing? I just don't get it. He played a decent game last night and if he was to put in that kind of performance every week there'd still be ones on here queuing up to slag him off.

    Everyone knows he isn't consistent enough in most games and as a striker he is frustrating. But I don't see why members giving credit for someone playing well are accused of being fooled into thinking he is suddenly capable of being our saviour.

    It's not just Sammy though is it? There's the anti just about every other player stream of posts when certain players play. I'm not having a dig at any one poster here but honestly ask yourselves is there a need to endlessly put certain players down ? Give credit where it's due at least!

    ONE GOOD GAME! 3/4 good games in 3/4 years, not good enough. 3 goals through out last season, playing as a striker, given plenty of starts. He clearly isn't good enough for the hoops, the sooner he is gone the better.

    I think everyone on this forum is quite familiar with my thoughts and feelings on Georgios Samaras.

    But..........

    The guy played well last night so it would just be churlish not to give him a pat on the back and say well done. I still don't rate him as a player but you have to give credit where it's due.
