Am over from England in Belfast this weekend to visit some relatives and enjoy what the city has to offer.
Just wondering if any pubs will be showing the Hoops game Saturday afternoon? and if so which is the best place to watch it in?
Would be guessing that most of these pubs would be down the falls road, but any advice on which 1 would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

You'll have to settle for an internet stream Quinny unless someone has Celtic TV that you know over in Belfast.

A few of the Belfast Bhoys will be able to answer you for sure though. Hope you get to see the game. If not internet it will have to be or BBC Radio Scotland.

theres few bars that show all celtic games, including through celtic tv if the game is not on live. The best place to try is the felons on the falls road facing sainsburys. The P.D club in andersonstown and the rock bar (mc courts bar) on falls road will also be showing the game. Take your pick from them 3, felons should be first choice.

As has been mentioned, nowhere in the city centre will show the game I'd imagine, hop in a black taxi up the Falls (get your black taxi from Castle Street), Felons is your best bet, and if not there then head to the PD as advised above, pints are cheaper in both venues than they would be in The Rock. :50:

Thanks guys will definitely go to one of those bars. Will be wearing my hoops top and scarf but am a bit apprehensive as not too sure how people will take me with my English accent.
Then again being half Irish and half English i should be used to it by now! LOL

Not so sure wearing colours in the City is a good idea. But glad you have advice on where to go and hope you enjoy the game.

Accent wise I wouldn't worry too much as soon as everyone sees and hears you are clearly a Celtic supporter you'll be fine. Just make sure you know all the songs :icon_mrgreen:

Thanks for the advice mate, Yes am gonna get a lift straight from my relatives house to the bar to be on the safe side. Will be looking forward to joining in with the songs, only really get the chance to do that when i go up to paradise, as there's no real Celtic bars near where i live in England unfortunately.

I live in Bath, there's an Irish Bar which sometimes puts the odd hoops match on, but otherwise the nearest CSC bar is Swindon.

Is Bristol not closer for you?

    BRISTOL - FORESTERS ARMS 94 ASHLEY DOWN RD, HORFIELD, BS7 9JR (Tel: 0117 924 3852) (Bristol CSC)

Worth a try if easier to get to. They might even have supporters bus's come up for some games.
