The reason for the blackout was there was a strike, but as usual the bbc broke it and taped the game but they said afterwards that the tape had accidently been wiped!!!!! aye * right

I think it's probably for the best we don't have title deciding derbies these days, yes the elation would be even greater if we beat them AND won the league, but just imagine how utterly shocked, desolate, destroyed, frustrated, angry, saddened, annoyed you would be if we lost the league to them!

Getting beat in an OF is depressing at the best of times, to lose the league in the same instance would be a thousand times worse.

The way we're going we could win the SPL next time we play them anyway :icon_mrgreen:

 

I was 15 and with my 3 best mates and all these years later we still fondly remember the 4-2 game like it was yesterday....just an amazing event in our proud history.

 

i was there that night never forget it i was in the jungle that night and went hame with one shoe couldnt move to pick it up lol, it was a weadgin for all youse old tims that can remember them :icon_mrgreen:

 

Not only was I at it standing in the old Celtic end ........ It was my 19th Birthday ..
21st May ....... Feckin Magic and I was so high.... an d I didnt drink at that time !!

My lasting memory was my Older Brother (who is no longer with us) coming along the gallowgate towards the supports bus quite drunk and very happy singing at the top of his voice "10 men won the league tra la la la la" Being a wee quiet bloke he was the last one you could ever imagine doing that..... Johnnie Doyle. Alex McDonald was lying on the ground and while all the other players were pushing and shoving each other Doyle had a wee kick at him and l think the linesman seen it. lts on the video.
