    I'd had a bit too much too drink yesterday and managed to drop my iPhone in the toilet last night :52:. It won't turn on now, anyone have any idea if there is any way this can be fixed or is it completely *? Any help will be appreciated :50:

    i would let it dry out first maybe use a hairdryer on it then try switching it on ...worth a try before jumping to conclusions

    Keep it in a bowl of dried rice for 24 hours mate completely covered, rice should take it in a lot of the moisture

    Cheers for the help folks :50:. Will use the hairdryer then leave it in a bag of rice and see if that works

    I've lost 2 iPhones to water damage, bowl of rice hasn't worked for me, might for you though. I'd say your chances are pretty slim. If you're not insured it was £120 for my new one, which isn't bad I guess. Take it to the Apple Store and they'll check it out.

    Never heard of the rice method of drying a phone before!

    If that doesnt work for you, remove the iphone screen to get get into the inside of the phone (tutorials on youtube), then gently swap the circuits with a cotton bud.

    Worked for my old 3GS.

    I put my blackberry on the radiator for a while, then left it next to the fire (with all the stuff out, like battery, sim etc) and after about a week it started working again.

    I've put it in a selable bag full of rice and left it in the airing cupboard, will leave it for 24 hours and see if that works. Doubt it will but worth a try

    Haha, brings back memories, first time i ever had a phone, about 8 years ago when i was 12, i brough it with me to thorpe park and went on tidal wave, safe to say no matter what i did the phone wouldn't work after that :54:

    there was a statistic a while back that said mobile fones are the second most disease ridden things on the planet...the first being computer keyboards......it all makes sense now..........cant imagine needing to take ma fone to the lavvy.....the mind boggles.
