It is Stokes for me especially since he played such a big part in the turn around of our season. But really both of them are playing very well now and hopefully it will prove to be a great wee battle between the 2 for the rest of the season to see sho comes out on top as Celtic's leading goalscorer this season. So far it is all square at 15 goals each.

We'll agree to disagree but im right.:50: Say we were to sell Hooper and just relied on Stokes for goals what happens if he goes through a dry patch that all strikers go through? We can barely rely on Sammy now can we? While the midfield have come up with a fair few goals its not smart to be relying on them for goals either.

Im just glad your not our manager.

your point, but the ones from the middle of the park, haven't been scoring like the 3 amigo's i mentioned BROWN, KI, AND KAYAL, Forrest, and Paddy are far more playable than the above, ankle snappers are a sign of little ability as that's all there game has to offer,
they do not release the ball to the strikers, there side ways and back ways passing is that of limited skill. and if we are to move forward as a team we should drop this type of player, why is it when we play teams there midfield players look so good. simple as the 3 cant play like any other midfield can. the 3 guys i mention have between them about 6 goals ffs, that cant be right can it, in any sport that would be put down as, a * handicap. and with that play we should be given 2 goals of a start in Europe.

Interesting points, Butch. I personally feel that Celtic's first choice midfield is overrated. People slag Paddy for being a cult hero, the same could be said about Kayal only he has far less skill. Getting back to the topic, I think Stokes is better but we need Hooper too, can't really rely on Sammy for goals. Would like to see a bit more of Bangura.:icon_mrgreen:

this season stokes, no question, the way he's been benched for the big games this season leaves a bad taste in the mouth

I well prefer hooper he is far better than stokes, stokes has got a better shot than him from outside the box and that is about it, other than that stokes picks the ball up on the left and will always try and cut in on the OUTSIDE, oldest trick in the book and veery rarely works because defenders know what he,s going tto do because he always does it.

Hooper has got better pace, he,s better inside the box which is crucial imo

Imo if we are looking for another striker it should be to partner hooper

Hooper has 37 goals in 64
Stokes has 34 goals in 63 so not much between them in the goal stakes,
but i reckon stokes would have a good few more assists than hooper.

I have to say STooper.....or maybe Hooksy......Can't really compare the two....Stokes has more to his game and can skin a man as well as score.....Hooper has that natuaral strikers instinct of being in the right place at the right time and has an eye for goal.
