Hooper or ledley because they seem the ones that genuinly want to stay here for a long time plus hoopers quality

Don't think any of the current crop would ever deserve to have their name cemented in our history. I genuinely don't know anyone in the team at the moment that I think i'll look back on and think, yeah, he was a great. No one has come close since Larsson IMO.

I've picked Forster on the basis that I think he'll be with us for years and is going to develop in to a really top keeper. He's a young lad remember.
Yeah Forrest, Wanyama, Hooper etc have got amazing potential, but lets face it, when even the likes of Wigan or West Brom come calling, let alone Liverpool or Man U, these guys will be off.

its hard to choose one in particular, because there are alot of key players for us, but its trying to predict how long they will stay for.

i voted for hooper because i feel that if he has say another 5-6 years here, he'l be banging them in game after game and be one of our top scorers .. although saying that, every player has his price and i think if a big bid was to come in, then celtic would consider it. would all depend on him i guess, if he's happy to bang them in game after game and have a go at europe each season then ideal, but if he wants to try his hand at the premiership then we'd be buggered. put it this way, i think if hooper was to stay as long as larsson, then he really could probably get the status! .. although remember its 2 very different teams.

Stokes on the other hand .. i dont know, i see him being a long servant to the club, and a player that you can rely on, but i dont know if he'l ever make like proper "legend" status. can see him being one of our mvp's in a long time, but not to the likes of henke.

    Voted none of current team.

Wanyama, Izzy and Hooper all have massive potential - but club legends? Unlikely

Mulgrew, he's found his spot and he's playing well. I think Celtic is the only place he wants to be. Being a legend is just as much about loyalty as it is skill. Obviously not comparing the level of Larsson and Mulgrew here because it's not comparable, but do you think Larsson would be such a legend if he wasn't so loyal? He'd probably be held in high regard, but he'd never be a legend.

Maybe Stokes too, depends on how he comes along with his attitude and how he matures in the next couple years. Think there's still room to improve with him and the only way is up tbh. Really just depends on his progression over the next few years and how long he stays.

Ledley will be a legend if he spends most of his career here but I doubt he will. Ki and Kayal the same thing but they've got their goals set higher than us, so fair enough, this league isn't exactly great.

PLayers get called legends for just taking the * out of the huns,:31:the days of true legends are gone.
No one in this team or years to come will be around long enough to get to this status.
Years of service and giving something to the team that no one else has.....larsson and his goals spring to mind.

It could be the case, but I really hope he does stay. I think he has a lot of potential for us still.

To become a legend you hasve to have ability, consistency and a desire to stay at the club when the lure of the EPL comes calling. I think Ledley could well make it.

Great to see several players with the potential, just hope we can keep them all!

I used my vote for Vic but I thought about this a bit more. Surely, as a minimum, the main criteria for becoming a true legend is serving most of a career at the the same club. That doesn't seem likely for any of our current crop of players. Looking at it that way Anthony Stokes or James Forrest. But it's hard to say. Sammy is in the running.
