This team taken for granted

I think that this current Celtic squad gets heavily taken for granted. It is put under so much criticism by its own fans.

But I reckon when this group of players is long gone, everyone will look back and really miss them and probably wish we had them in what will be the current squad

Kayal, Wanayama, Ledley, Izaguirre, Matthews, Mulgrew, Hooper, Stokes, Forrest are all world class.

Enjoy them whilst they are still around because they are the type of players you dont get too often let
alone all at once.

I don't see that at all. I think all of our fans are amazed by the talent we have. There are threads popping up all the time praising the above mentioned players. We constantly talk about how they play lovely football together and are a good team. Samaras has even been getting praised.

I just have not seen things the way you have. It seems to me, everyone knows how good we are and can't wait for the OF game.

We are going to steam roller them.

But I think people will look back equally as fondly on the likes of kayal, izzy, hooper, Forrest etc they just don't realise it yet.

 

We all realise what a young talented group of players we have.after the opening 45 mins the other night,we are all wondering how far this team can go.1 thing is pretty certain though,if they don't win the title this season,most won't be here next season and won't be remembered in years to come.

 

I don't think they are taken for granted at all. Every time someone plays well, a thread is dedicated to them on here and usually generates about 100 posts worth of praise every day.

The other thing the OP never mentioned was MON's team won just about everything. That's why they are remembered. No one remembers second place.

 

This team can be consider great when they do the treble, other than that they are better now than the teams WGS or MON left us. I'd go as far to say this team could be as good as the MON team at its peak but we need some titles and belief

O'Neill's side came second place in 2003 and 2005. I'm guessing no one remembers players like Larsson, Hartson, Sutton, Mjallby, Agathe, Thompson, Lennon, Petrov and Lambert then, going by that logic?

But to the OP, we went through a very rough patch and the team got criticised and deservidly so. Our team start winning by playing nice football and now even starting to scrape by.
I still think the biggest problem is defence. We've been getting away with quite a bit, and I also think that Wanyama has played a massive part in our defence record, just like Kayal did last season.

But once we get our players back, namely Izzy, I think we could see a real change in our game and could really start taking teams apart.
Try focus on our next 3 games..........ALL MUST WIN!!!!
