A tongue in cheek dig at the huns fans, most of whom are indeed racist. In fact, it may not be as far as you think from the truth...

    Do you find it offensive?

In your opinion. I think it would be fair to say that many people would find it very offensive though, yet you claim others are "letting the club down". Why dont you take that symbol and hold it up at a game and see the reaction you get from the "outside" world.

Btw, its not that it bothers me, its just that I found your comments very ironic.

I wouldn't expect anyone who wasn't a hun to find it offensive tbh. As I've said, it's tongue in cheek. I don't genuinely believe that everyone who supports rangers is a *. When you have huns making * salutes and posing in front of banners like that I think you'd expect people to have digs about it.

Completely ridiculous if this lad has been banned for life because of the banner.

Absolutely but all that banner was doing was having a dig at Uefa. The reaction to it (not by you I mean) has been totally ridiculous. Given that as you say it is tongue in cheek (and I believe you btw) I was just surprised at your reaction.

    Where the banned people go.

I got in some tumbles with school security guards and police when I was younger. Should I be banned from my right to go to school for life because of this? No its ridiculous. People change. He might be in a low point in his life and later maybe a model citizen. Its * ridiculously harsh to ban him for life. "* UEFA" and having a wee go at a steward is nothing in comparison to some of the bullshit the huns have been responsible for over the years with no punishment from their own club or anyone else coming to them.

Cannot believe the flack that is being directed at the GB right now. A week ago everyone was raving about them but that all seems to have been forgotten. If I was them I wouldn't bother supporting the team at the next home game as the manager seems to think that they are not needed. Let's see what happens then, will all these 'fans' calling for them to be banned/jailed/hung get behind the team? I think not.

I think it's for both, celtic fans should not be assaulting stewards from anywhere never mind their own. I reckon the club wanted to name and shame which is wrong but can see why they did it if it makes others think twice about anything similar.

see Lawwell has come out and said that banner was "not the green brigade"; i suppose that has to be welcomed.

Fair play if that's the case and it's wrong that the GB get blamed for everything wrong.

Haven't seen any criticism or accusation naming the GB for any of this, if he (they) were members of the GB then I would contend they were acting as individuals and not following a GB set plan.
As I have said before what kind of supporter sets out to further damage the club only days after they have been fined for fan behaviour. It beggars belief that a good number of posters on here are failing to see the reality of this situation and engage in tunnel vision. We are bound by UEFA rules and Lawell has a duty to ensure we comply, whatever else you may think of the board there is no other option to them but to apply sanctions such as the ban in this case.
Those engaged in the issue of naming the individual are simply using another avenue to vent their dislike for Lawell while expressing all kinds of sympathy for the real culprit in this shameful event.
It's difficult to comprehend how any supporter can fail to see the damage being done to our club by mindless morons who have their own agenda and to * with the club.
A life time ban, and why not.

to me the banner is hee haw and has been made something out of nothing imo.

its fans freedom of speech and therefore the banner wasnt sectsrian etc. if uefa are wee lassies who want to punish us over a daft banner? then they are showing themselves up tbh. yeah perhaps there was no need for it? but what if the fsans were chanting this>? would we be getting all this *??

as for banning folk for life! i find that pathetic and way ott. a ban? yeah maybe if they want to make a point but not for life,

as for lennys comments! feel as iv been booted in the baws by him after all the times we stand by him tbh.

lawwel im not angry at him and understand where he is comming from as he needs to rep the club and showing a stance like this to save face for us! fair play.but we are scrutiised for * everything now and its driving hard working loyal fans away,

and this is all down to the cuts from they fannys down the road to the scottish budget and to the police that has started all this bullshit now.

time for things NOW to get * sorted out cos as of now i am pissd of with it./

After all the bomb threats etc I think it is totally irresponsible of the club to name the fan. What is that all about? Do they want him targeted by morons?

You need to understand there will never be an atmosphere like that ever again if people keep letting lawwel and lennon use the green brigade as a scapegoat....and soon enough fans will be too afraid to even sing the soldiers song as this new bill comes
Until the Last Rebel. Support the Green Brigade
