Standing up for what is right?, so it is right that that guy is gonna be singing up the ra at every game regardless of the views of the club he is supposedly supporting?

The PIRA were political, unless they just enjoyed blowing up civilians for the * of it.

Because believe it or not we dont all stand waiting to hear or not hear what songs the "real fans" have declared to be acceptable or not acceptable. And I am almost 100% I have heard it this season but sadly I do not have proof. But it is neither here nor there really.

Glad to see the PIRA has now been seen as unacceptable this season by the fan powers that be.

Anyway Im off. Keep fighting the good fight :50:

If just enjoying ourselves at the football is the motive why are we not all just agreeing to sing songs about the team and cutting out all the nonsense that is getting us fined?

Because thats what people going to the games like doing. The Club has always been like this and its the reason we are such a big club with many fans because the Irish connection has gained us many supporters.

Y ou are a fool that was an offensive banner its had a word that can be taken as an offence do u really think they will just sit back and not fine us that banner will probrbly land us with the maximum penalty from uefa over the flare at the game WHY DID THEY HAVE A FLARE:31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31::31:

Dont people understand or are they to high and mighty to admit that some fans are idiots and will now land us with a euro home game behind closed doors maybe even 2 was it worth it all that money celtic will lose not just in gate money but the fines and now after the banner they will hit us everytime hard not to mention the fact the hardline blue papers will be loving this just at the momment the whyte knight should be all we talk about (unless celtic had went through) all we are reading about is our fans acting yobs

"I give up" a love celtic and a love the GB they "bring the thunder" but really its time to back down for the sake of the clubs rep we are respected all around the world lets not ruin it with a flare and a F*** YOU

People bring up that elements of the Scotland support booed out players in the 60s as their excuse for supporting Ireland. People condemn Hibs because one chairman in the 50s wanted us to ban the tricolour. People hate Rangers because they never signed Catholics till 20 years ago, even though they do now.

When you get rags saying Celtic fans can't sing the Ibrox disaster song thats a load of pish as obviously no one sings that and it hasn't been sing for years an years but it's a bit different when the song was sung as recently as the season before.

to * right they claim to love the club but the only thing this does is damage the club and earn us massive fines thats some way to show your support, they are only interested in themselves and what they believe.

At a time when Rangers are in financial crisis due to all sorts of dodgy dealingthe media have been concentrating on Celtic,Why, the reality being that we cant help but bring this on ourselves (sound familiar) because if it wasnt a song or a banner it would be something else. What iam saying is if the banner hadnt been there there would have been criticism of the Celtic support from the media because they have at the very least an Anti Celtic agenda and are probaly involved in a more subtle conspiracy of evening things up. Which i hope you can except.
It gets to a position were to be accepted you become something you do not recognise or want to be.
Celtics corporate needs (maybe greed not best choice of word altough i would dispute a well run business, 3iar putting a lie to that) as defined by the current board , within this context, does not allow them to take anything other than a corporate view, what they percieve to be, rightly or wrongly, good for business.

    But
Having a massive banner saying F*** UEFA in front of 600 hundred of our own supporters looked a pretty poor way of sending a message. It tarnishes the whole lot of them. I’m just glad I wasn’t there.
To have such an illicit comment straight after the illicit chanting fine, smacks defiance at its worst, and kicking these supporters out because they showed no consideration to anyone else but themselves is not going to fix the problem.
I think the problem lies with Celtic Football Club; they should have got McBride to fight the charge rather than leaving it up to disgruntled supports to air their view.
Admitting to a charge that goes on all over the world in many stadiums with no other club being brought to task was a poor judgement on the clubs part.
They have dealt with this situation all wrong, I know they are trying to stop IRA chanting within the stadium and seen a perfect opportunity to bring it to a head.
The SFA will use the illicit chanting at their leisure now because we can’t go defending something we have already admitted to as being a problem with others.
Add to that, it can only get worse as there are a lot of angry people out there.
