id imagine it would be true because paying the remainder of your conract pretty much signals the end of that contract,im fairly certain if you do that then you can upgade and start a new contract

Well with me, my actual contract ends in february, but I can upgrade at the end of january.
Would I e able to pay 30 pound today (to cover this months bill early) then upgrade and just pay the usual money ? Or whatever my new monthly bill would be ?

I work for o2, i sold my iphone 4 to get the s2. Best move i made.

O2 got a jan deal on the s2 for £27 a month - 300 mins, unlimited text and internet.

Best thing about android phones is you can get apps to download free music. It has a better processor than the 4s making it more powerful and smoother. The screen display is more colourful, better battery life. The satnav is a talking sat nav rather than * google maps. Unlike the iphone you can set your own alarm/ring tones and message tones without paying for apps to do so. The internal memory is 16 gb which is as good as the smallest 4s size but you can add sd cards so the skys the limit really. You have all form of internet connectivity the iphone 4s has with added hsdpa and G coinnections so you got more connectivity. Your less limited with blue tooth features. The android market is the biggest market in the mobile phone industry with loadsa freebies and customization tools. If you want to stream videos the s2 seems to stream loads more than the iphone can - dont know if this is something to do with plugin or codecs?

Basically working for o2 am a bit of a phone geek, anyone who tells you the iphone is better dont know what their talking about. In terms of spec the S2 is better, the tariff is better aswell.

The only thing iphone beats s2 for in my opinion is s2 does not have sky go app yet, but i believe that is just around the corner too. Another phone worth looking at is the htc XL -with big * audio beats :)

Yeh pal, just go in and say this "i want the s2 on the 300 minutes tariff please" they will take it from their. And that offer is to every one. The offer breaks down like this £21 for the 300 mins and unlimited text and £6 for the internet, hence £27. Ask them for an extra 500 o2 to o2 mins too, they should be able to sort that too pal

The core tariff is £21 for the mins and text.

For internet you got 3 options

£3 - 100MB (Not enough for nearly everyone i came across)
£6 - 500MB + WIFI + 20 MMS (if you got wifi at home this is all you will need, just keep downloads and video streams for wifi, mobile date just for browsing)
£10 - 1GB + WIFI + 50 MMS (Unless your a youtube geek, or someone who streams anything to fill the dfay, this is probably going to be too much)

    Sound mate.

So the best deals I have so far are:

    3:

    33 pound per month
    Limitless Internet (actually is limitless)
    500 mins
    5000 texts

Good deal but dont know If I trust the 3 reception.

    T-Mobile:

    35 pound per month
    Unlimited texts
    900 mins
    Unlimited internet browsing
    500mb download allowance

Tempted to go for this deal, I know tmobile have good reception, and the unlimited browsing sounds good as I could just download , like you said, at home.

    02:

    27 pound per month
    300 mins
    Unlimited texts
    500mb internet

sounds good although I dont know if the 500mb internet would be enough for my browsing. Could always pay an extra 4 pound for 10 gig though.
But dont know if 02 has good recpetion ?

I dont know for your area pal, i work in wales you see. Just remember, as with any network provider (am aware of anyway) you got 14 days to cancel if you find your reception is *. Having said that, the last time i got to see the hoops (last year) my internet and phone signal was top notch in both glasgow and edinburgh. We got a colleague who was born in ayr, she goes up their alot to see family and she says she gets a vodafone sim up their as the signal is pish. I dont trust her though - she suppourts the huns ha!

I find vodafone the best for signals where i stay, it does depend on where you stay though.

I bought a 79p Orange sim card at the weekend to see what the signal is like where I am and it was awful. Again though it depends where you stay.

Think I'm also getting the Samsung Galaxy S2 next month through phones4u. Doing a good deal at the moment on £26 a month through Vodafone - 300mins unlimited texts and 500mb of internet.

    haha.
Aye I think I will just stay with T-mobile, as I trust there reception, both for internet and texts etc.
Only paying 2 pound more than the 3 deal, and I can jsut download stuff through my wifi and then Ive got unlimited browsing data.

You can get the Samsung galaxy s2 for £21.50 a month from phones 4 u online. 200 mins 3000 txts and 500mb of data on O2.

Or on T-mobile from tesco mobile shop for £20.42 with 300 minuts, 300 txts and 500MB Data Booster + Unlimited Internet Browsing. :50:

How quickly will 500mb download data go ?
I get unlimited browsing internet, so I will download stuff using wifi, but is there still stuff that will eat into my 500mb without me knowing ?
That is my only worry with the T-mobile plan.

Say I downloaded an app (using wifi) might this app then use my 500mb data without my knowledge ?
Does the facebook app use data when you are using it ?

Also, how do I go about seeing what the 3 network is like for me on a daily basis, without using the 'network checker'. I want to see for myself, but you cannot return a product to 3 once it has been opened.

    Any ideas ?

Buy yourself a 3 sim card, put it in your phone and see what the reception is like in different areas.

As for the other questions you would probably be better giving T-Mobile a ring or nipping into one of the shops.

I know that on Vodafone you can log into their site and check how much MB you have used, so might be worth checking if T-mobile also have that facility.

I also want to see where I get 3g and where I dont, will I be able to do that ?
