Why Celtic Fans love Craig Burley.

I thought John Collins was gonna leather him right there in the studio, after the first leg in Rennes.

The english host guy and Collins were both looking at each other like "what the * wrong with that *" Collins never agreed with anything he said and you could just see in his eyes he thought Burley was an *.

 

sometimes he talks sense and you feel an affinity, especially as being an ex celtic player. The next minute you want to rip his jugular out by the roots for making an abusive statement. He does know how the the game works but needs to learn the diplomacy needed to formulate the correct statements to be a sucessful football pundit.

My first thought was red card, after seeing it again from 5 different angles I thought it was harsh and Sammy was down for longer than he really shouldve been for a hand to the face like that. Other than that though, aye Burleys a *!

 

He's a ring piece. The incident where the referee was booking the boy for the tackle on McCourt summed Burley up for me. Referee is giving him a talking to and booking him. Burley says, 'Oh for goodness sake, just talk to him and book him. No need to make a drama out of it."

Of course the irony of it (lost on the braindead Burley) was that not only was that exactly what the ref was doing, but the only one making any drama out of it was Burley.

I don't think he's anti-Celtic though. Just a * who believes his own hype and that is desperately trying to make a name for himself as a straight shootin', pull no punches pundit among the media. The problem is that he just says the first 'controversial' thing that comes to mind, which isn't the best idea when you're as thick as he is.

 

Likes to mix it up at games ,probably keeps him in a job but he is a roaster at times.

 

Hebwas the mole but he let a lot of people believe it was tommy Boyd who took a lot of flack at the time. I remember someone calling him keevins *

just a man trying to make a name for himself now andy gray has been blacklisted . burleys looking for the big sky payday . who can blame him ?

Andy Gray is another bawbag but Burley isn't in his league commentary wise.

Gray could actually call a match quite well and break it down for you, Burley hasn't got a scooby what is going on half the time.

Provan is probably next in line for that gig.

Burley is just a zoomer if you ask me.

Has anyone listened to Burley commentating on a Rangers game? Is he negative aboot them??

He's certainly a negative * when he commentates on our games.

 

Only if theyre no winning * come out with something like

"The spectacular mighty glorious sons of william, hammers of the fenians have been a wee bit poor today compared to their usual standards which are majestically fantastic, superior in every way to that tattie muching green and grey hoops wearing diddy teams standards"

Bearing in miind these are the same people who think the daily record is pro Celtic so I don't know how much weight their opinion holds

 

They also call clyde 1 "RC Radio", call Refs fenians, the eveningtimes the "evening tims" etc ...... and us paranoid fucksake :bbpd:

 

My thoughts exactly. I think people get oversensative to every comment he makes simply because he is so smug. I dont think he is anti Celtic.
