Ah so im not in Glasgow now so i shouldn't have an opinion. Is because im in Thailand some how make your point more valid than mine, you prob think Scottish fans should have more say than the rest aswell. Now you have offended me with your general opinion and talking down to other Celtic fans and generally thinking you speak for a majority of fans.

Can you tell me the last time the Scottish Government have 'harked back' to Bannockburn? As you say it's continual this won't be too hard. Personally, I've never heard it.

the queen and the boys or the old brigade

If I`am not mistaken the present monarch of England on her visit to Ireland lay a wreath to all Irishmen and women who had given thier life for Irelands cause, many the boys of the old brigade also went on to form the then and now Goverments or the Irish Repulibic if the song is secterian then so is the whole of the Irish establisment.

well it's the SNP that are the only party supporting this bill; Devlin is right, actions speak louder than words.

Away and take some magic mushrooms and wind down for the day, slugger!

What I said was a joke about you being able to sing from afar. Nothing more.

I don't understand your last sentence.

They are hypocritical *. I will never vote for that mob and I will encourage others not to vote for them either.

I voted number 2, we should keep a link with Ireland because if we don't, we'll lose a huge support, and turn into a team like Hibs which seems to disregard it's heritage. But we should not glorify and sing of the IRA. What annoys me is, I live in England, so whenever Celtic fans get investigated about political singing, it makes me look bad, as they associate the club with terrorism, and me being a follower of Celtic, I must therefore have a sympathy according to others. I honestly don't care about the songs being sung anywhere else, just not in a football stadium where millions of people are watching/listening worldwide. I'd say the same for Rangers fans, I'm not particularly bothered if they sing about their heritage/culture, providing it's amongst their own group and somewhere like a pub, that is full of their own fans. But, for the sake of harming the club we love, and receiving fines/bans/punishments, is it really worth singing 'up the ra' or whatever? * no.

At least one member have been found out that it is an Anti-Catholic agenda that drove her feelings behind this, making both sides even sort of thing. I don't think it is, this bill is one of the most dangerous ever to enter Scottish society.

They (may) be giving the police powers to criminalise offensive behaviour, that is bordering on Fascism. Anything can be regarded as offensive, anything at all.

What the police need to do is actually inforce the powers they already have. The SNP are the Government, the Police don't rule them. They should be setting out guidelines for the Police to use their current powers which are perfectly acceptable.

However there is a premise here in Scotland that you can't punish one side without punishing the other. That is where it is * up, that is why these songs are suddenly wanting to be punished, that is why when we rallied for FAC it has suddenly came up.

Nobody is bigger than the club. Not Irish heros and certainly not a few songs.

Of course the songs would stop. We are yet to be punished though, I reckon it all hinges on this upcoming case.

How many games did you attend last season? Since you love your team so much.

I would argue our heritage is the club, if we are forced to give up our heritage then I'm afraid I would give up on our club altogether.

    well said devlin :50:

though just for the record, christine graeme did deny the allegations; that said, she hasn't acted upon what were pretty blatant and libellous allegations; until she takes more action than a stock denial (because there always sincere) then the suspicion will linger. then again she did call this "an evening up" process; pretty clear who she meant when she said that, much to tom devine's bemusement.

    I don't think you would.

And it's a moot point anyway as it will never happen. We can celebrate our heritage without certain songs.
