Hehe, i am more of a mathematical person, my best subjects are history and economics, which coincidentally is what i am doing at Uni.

Right, need a question answered... and it is probably extremely stupid and I may seem like an idiot.... but, does "first sitting" (in terms of uni applications) mean all in 1 year, or does it mean the first time you sat that exam? And 2nd sitting means across 2 years, or if you had to resit an exam?

Like if something says you need four B's at the first sitting, i think that means all in one year.

First sitting just means the first time you sit the exam. Eg. you do English in 5th year and get a C (first sitting), you do it again in 6th year and get a B (that would be second sitting, and the uni would probably be looking for an A). I think so anyway :56:

Probably left it too late for there still to be a place in a course but you can still apply and if your lucky get a place when somebody drops out.

Applying to Stirling Uni. Needed 4 B's. Got an A B B C. They said they'll definitely consider me for unconditional but may ask for another C. Pretty much guaranteed to get in.

Also going to apply to Glasgow and Glasgow Cale. Glasgow requires another ABB this year and I have the requirements for Cale.

Ive got an essay to do for history about the labour reforms. The question is "how successfully did the labour government of 1945-1951 deal with the social problems identified innthe beveridge report of 1942?". Im not 100% sure about it because i was off for a couple of weeks when we were doing this topic and i dont have a lot of notes. What should i write about, just the five giants? Or is there anything else i could do?

Without being a copy cat parrot you might find the following useful for notes.
