Don't drink many high caffeine products at all. Have the odd can of Coke now and again though.

Unfortunately the Irn-Bru is made in China over here and just doesn't taste the same.

Hate drinking anything but water when working so that's all I really drink.

Would not surprise me in the slightest. In fact it was my immediate thought whenever all these players started getting heart problems. No coincidence imo if you're ploughing your body full of heart and nervous system stimulant in order to 'increase performance'.

Can't drink Red Bull/Monster/Rock Star etc they make my heart go mental though I do like the taste. I LOVE orange lucozade but I only have a bottle of 2 a week as it has an insane amount of sugar.

Ate a bit of cake a drank a bottle of Lucozade before bed last year and was up for 4 hours with my heart pounding out my chest the daft * that I am :38:

How much caffiene is in Irn-Bru and Buckfast?? I'd say these are the only beverages i intake regularly enough that would affect my health. Also what about tea? Like just white tea with the teabag? I like the odd one when I'm studying or whatever

Never drink Coffee...dont like the tase. Hardly ever drink energy drinks. I drink fizzy cans alot though.

One time i was going to work i was shattered and popped in to try the energy drinks. I bought a litre of boost and half a litre of red bul. Well I drank it all within about 35 minutes.

20 minutes later, geezis christ I thought I was gonner. It was extremely scary. I genuinly thought I was going to have a heart attack. Nausea, started shaking and everything. Was a bit stupid not realising what caffeine was all about. I barely drink energy drinks but now and again i do, making sure its in moderation instead of drinking like 2litres in half an hour so.

After that happened to me i was speaking to my aunt, who was hospitalised for overdosing on caffeine. She drank loads of red bull.

    Scary stuff.

I stopped drinking caffeine about 2 month ago. The first few days a had bad headaches, and felt like *. Was getting palpitations due to the amount I was drinking. Since then they've stopped. Trying to stop on the fizzy juice altogether now.

There is not much worse than having palpitations I thought so many times my heart was due to pack in I'm glad I've basically gave up caffeine.

Scary isn't it, especially when your playing fitba and they start. With all the players that have had things happen to them.

The scariest time was definitely when I was just playing 5's I thought my heart was going too explode out my chest, I have always kept myself in good shape and for some stupid reason I passed it off at the time but the turning point was when I was just sitting watching the tele and I started to get them I knew I had to give up all caffeine then.

That's definitely a good thing it is a horrible feeling getting heart palpitations and for what, a small lift from a bottle of Lucozade or something like it :38: . Not worth it does so much damage to your body that is not needed.

I fill my coffee pot up to the 6 and drink it all in the morning, it's usually enough for 2.5 coffee mugs. No idea how many ounces that is, but I use to drink a lot more back in the day and since I was dehydrated I had 2 kidney stones, both massive in size. I now drink less coffee overall and immediately start drinking copious amounts of water all day long after my morning coffee. Occasionally I'll have an espresso in the afternoon at work since they are free. Keep in my though, this is all a lot less than I use to drink, I could go through a whole pot of coffee over a day.

It's been a few months now, but I feel I need to bump this.

Since I last posted in here, back in November, I've had two or three bottles of Vimto and that has been the limit in terms of consuming fizzy drinks. I managed to get rid of the symptoms less than a week after my last post in here and was feeling perfectly normal, but now that I eventually gave in to the temptation last week and am now trying to withdraw yet again, it's triggered everything off and the * headaches are back :56:

In my defence though, the shop nearest to me is * and didn't have any non-fizzy drinks that I fancied. I really wouldn't have went for the caffeine option had I not been absolutely desperate. Caffeine withdrawal is a *.

Tea is a great thing to have. Used to be considered medicine...it has health benefits. Even fights against cancer. True story.

And that's about all I drink. Seldom have coffee, never have energy drinks, and rarely have vodka or any of those heart-spikers.

I can't go a day without tea or I'll get a really bad headache, used to have around six cups a day but now I have three max.

I drink roughly about 3-4 cans a day. Not really addicted (can stop if I wanted to) but it does increase your anxiety levels so for anyone who has ever suffered from depression could may well find that once the caffeine wears off, so does your mood.:50:
