    probably some truth in it. Why would he say it otherwise? he has nothing to gain. whether he would have been a good signing or not is irrelevant, he didnt sign. The question is.......was it just a hoax by Lawell to look good or was there real interest in him.

    Everton only signed him until the end of the season and i cant see him getting an extended contract he will be playing with some championship team next season imo.

    Wouldnt have mattered. It was always a publicity stunt by PL, just before the agm. He has done it before. Dangled quality players in front of us with no real intention of going through with it.

    Long before this story came out, a workmate who used to play for Celtic and who was talking to Faddy, said that celtic had no intension of siging him they didn't even put up a deal that is how it came about.

    I was like all the rest slagging him off for not coming, then got the real story.

    I think what Faddy saying rings true but he is being cadgy about spilling the beans. Its been portrayed that he turned us down for Everton and if that was essentially not the case (i.e. if Celtic never really made an offer) then its understandable that he wants to make that clear. I think he could have done a great job for us given Commons rotten form this year and Forrests hot and cold form.

    probably truth in it, didn't need to say * all though

    then again folk don't like getting * about

    just thinking about him as a player i can't remember a stand out game him playing for everton or birmingham for all the time he's played for them

    all he's remembered for is a few maverick performances for scotland and a few goals and they were quite a while ago

    overated, but i think he's probably been used as a smokescreen to take the heat of the board before the agm

    this is a guy that knows the score, he can go to England, and them down there will pay big bucks, but the players can hide, down there no one gives a *
    if there team wins a cup or not, so perfect for a numpty like McFadden, HE will always be a *, never been tested, and will never have any silverware, and he knows he ain't, that good himself for celtic, and i will say this, he ain't any good for Everton either, a one trick pony, why dose it not bother Evertonion fans that they win * all, but support there team, that is the same way leeches decide who to latch on to teams with no ambition, and they can hide in there but get the odd write UP,about them scoring a wonder goal, now and again
