Ki: Sell or Keep ?

Keep him unless we get a very good offer. Same with most players at Celtic, the right money is the right deal. Then reinvest it in the squad and the process begins anew.

I like Ki and always have done that why i voted keep. I think he has came on alot since he signed and belive if he was in any other league he would be worth 10M+.... but at the same time he seems to have stopped growing a bit dosent mean hes finished but i dont think he will grow much more while in the spl and would consider selling if we got about 7M and were going to invest it all on new talent.

 

I think Brown and Forrest would be replaceable im not saying i would sell either of them in any way but i think the only players in our team that is irreplaceabke is Izzy and Kayal, and only kayal when he is playing at 100%. Sadly tho in this day and age of scottish football if the right offer comes in for any player they would be off straight away imo as everyone has a price but if any our team was sold off as i said earlier i would only be content if the money was all put back into the team but i dont belive that would happen

End of the day, its not down to Lennon. Ki makes Celtic a lot of money, which keeps Lawell happy. He is on a small wage and brings in big foriegn revenue. Lawell likes this. Lawell is in control of transfers.

There is not a chickens chance in Thailand of a 10 million pounds offer for the lad.

 

keep him but we gotta be smart in how he's played, part of a 5 man midfield in away games or in CM in home games.

 

if we got about £5m for him which is realistic then I'd want to buy a big solid proven CB and Baba, but that doesn't seem to be the way it works. If he was sold for like £5m then w would get about £2m to spend lol

I can understand that you are a huge fan of Ki the footballer. Are you korean also?

Fans in general like to have a moan about players in their team, its the nature of the game and football in general.

Ki is a naturally gifted footballer and has improved dramtically since arriving at Celtic. if you have a look aorund the forum you will see a lot of the other players get some complaints and abuse from the fans. ( i'm glad your not a fan of either Scott Brown Or Samaras)

anyway, keep supporting your favourite player and don't feel too bad about the comments the poll is 50/50 split.

Ki is currently one of the teams most valuable assets and although i like him as a player, I love the team as a whole. If selling Ki brought in 2 players that could strengthen our defence, I would say sell.

 

Yes, I am a huge fan of Ki, I came to love Celtic, because of him. I came to love the players, and the uniforms, too. I'm from Korea, yes, and many of us try to watch TV even at dawn, cheering Celtic for Winning.

And I agree with you. I understand fans are always arguing. I also think criticism about any player is natural and even needed.
It's not that I want to see the only good things about Ki, really. I agree with the opinion that he still has many things to be improved.
But, when I posted in this thread, I felt annoyed, honeslty. It's not about the ordinary criticism.
The thing is, I've just felt something was going very unfair towards Ki since some days ago. And this thread, too. I really have no idea why this thread is needed, apart from the results of the poll. I even started to feel that some people just dislike Ki, and seem to post like this until Ki really dissapear. And In my opinion, this is too much for Ki, considering what he has done until now. I might think like that more as I do know what he has in his mind, when playing for Celtic. He left a very touching writing about his honest feeling of playing for Celtic, about a month ago, at his Korean homepage. And I'm sure nobody could point a finger at him if reading it. (I do not mean he should be given exemption from criticism about performance. It's just about emotional thing. But Sorry my english isn't good enough for explaining this feeling clearly. I'd be happy if you could understand what I try to say, somehow.)

Anyway,
I felt recently he has been often treated unfairly on this forum, so I reacted like above. (Well, this is just my opinion, and I hope my opinion would be also absorbed into this forum as one opinion of a fan, just like everyone's opinion.)

I will stay here, and like you adviced, will just support Ki and wish Celtic's winning. I've become a Celtic fan, too, and have met some nice persons here. And I'm sorry if I sounded too emotional at my last posts.

Sell - I think he's a little over-rated. He's too laid back on the ball for my liking but no doubting whatsoever that he is a great play. I'ld take 6+ million in the morning for him if an offer came in.

Some people on this forum should be totally ashamed of themselves by the way they speak about some of our players and our manager.

They boast about being the best and most loyal fans in the world yet the first sign of a lull by the team or an individual player and the very same ignorant, pathetic know alls are first out of the traps with their disgraceful snide remarks and their over the top derogatory comments.

I think it is fine to hand out criticism when it is called for but some people on here just thrive on it and my mind boggles to what they think that the * that they write achieves.

As I said before, I would be ashamed to think that some of the players families came on this site and read some of the things put on by a certain elements on here as I am sure it would be devastating to them that these horrible things are being said about their loved ones.

Professional footballers should be worthy of a bit of stick but not blatant insults.

Wise up or go and support another team.

 

Just seen on another website that ki has been for a brain scan when he arrived in Korea after having bad dizziness and sickness and they will get the results on the 8th tomorrow. Hope it isn't serious
