    Tired of celtic shopping in the free market,ok once in a while you get someone good but more often than not they are past there best playing days.....how many millions will we waste on these types of players wages.

    Zenden's best days are long behind him now and I'd rather see the likes of Paul George, who played brilliantly for the under-19s on Friday, Filip Twardzik, Paul Slane or Dylan McGeough as back-up to the first team than someone who is just going to eat at our wage bill.

    It's also clear we are crying out for a bit of experience on the pitch. Our only experienced players are big Maj and Cha. Who are quite balls.

    This, definitely! I don't know if Zenden is the guy to provide it or if he'll be in the position where we need it - I'd prefer an experienced keeper or center-half - but we need someone out there to help organize us on defense.

    This in the gossip column this morning;

    Sunderland full-back Phil Bardsley urges Celtic to snap up versatile left-sided player Boudewijn Zenden. (Daily Express)

    Not sure if that's a good thing TBH - depends where his allegiances lie these days...

    What people need to realise is Bolo was still doing it in EPL last season whereas Freddie was washed up in the US.

    Played a lot of games last season at a higher level than we play at and we are crying out for experience.

    If he is at the same level of ability has he was last year then it's a no brainer.

    If this guy can produce even a %age of his recent quality then its got to be worth a punt. This guy has only recently been playng in the epl....which we all acknowledge is higher quality than the spl.

    The huns took Weir at this age or older and he has held them together defensively for 4 years.

    Get him on a play/pay deal and use him in the centre of the park to put his foot on the ball.

    Its a no brainer for me I would sign him up 100 % even as a squad player if not in the starting 11
