To those saying there is no point in sacking him. Utter tripe.

Whats the point? Well the point is any one coming in gets over half of a season to adapt to our game, understand our players and have a crack at the SPL.

Coming in at the end of the season he will be under immence pressure to win the league first time of asking, putting unfair pressure on a new boss.

Lenny out, new guy in. give us a fighting chance.

Hmm. although i see where you are coming from, im still unsure about whom will manage us after Lenny goes. Until there is a reasonable assurance we will get a good manager, ill back Lenny

I like the way you say "new guy", as if you expect Pep Guardiola to come crawling all the way from Barcelona to sunny old Glasgow just to manage Celtic. Who do you propose we bring in if, hypothetically, Lennon gets sacked after the Motherwell game?

We don't have the attraction of money now (if we did, Lenny probably wouldn't be in the job in the first place), so I'm not expecting to hear any answers like Davie Moyes or Owen Coyle. Although they are both Celtic men, I can't see them leaving their fairly secure jobs in the Premiership to come up here for a two horse title race and earn peanuts compared to what they were on before.

Tough one to be honest but would have to agree that 3 points is a must, can't keep dropping points and the huns taking advantage otherwise it's going to get embarassing the points total, as poor a side the huns are i can't see them dropping that many points where as the way we have been playing i think we are more likely to drop points than them.

It's easy to blame the players but end of the day Lenny picks the team so the buck has to stop with him, love Lenny to bits but there comes a time when you have to admit enough is enough.

Nah, lets wait til May. Wait until Rangers have secured 4 in a row and are strengthening a championship winning squad to go for 5. Remember managers like Wim Jansen who won the league in their first season are 10 a penny.

I have answered this question tonnes of times on other threads. But again here is some names that I believe would be looking at Celtic.

Coyle - His job is far from secure at Bolton
Hitzfeld - Excellent choice at doing a job with no budget.
Billic - Worth a shot, shown his interest before mowbray and after mowbray
Trappatoni - Has mentioned he wants to get back into club management
    Schuster
    Terim
Toshack??? Could be a good shout

There is tonnes of good managers not working at the moment. Ones that have managed across the continent and have a wealth of experience. There would be managers out there that would be interested by the Celtic job.

Also, screw having anymore "Celtic men" in charge. Just because once upon a time they were supporters or played for us, does not mean they will be good managers.

I think seeing as our last three managers have been Strachan (cheap and unproven), Mowbray (cheap and unproven), and Lennon (cheap and unproven) there is very little chance of getting anyone on your list with the exception of Billic (who is unproven in club football). We will end up with a SPL manager, an ex player, or a lower half championship manager.

No money to spend, no champions league, forced to sell anyone of value to raise funds, and taking over a team 3rd in the league built with freebies and cheapest options. And on top of that if they dont win the league within a year they get sacked! Unless they are a fan, no proven manager would go near us with the ambition of the current board.

If Lennon plays Majstorovic and we lose it's clearly his fault. He can't keep making the same mistakes week in, week out.

Lenny needs to stay! The players are the ones not giving 100% and Lenny knows who they are and will ship them out. If he gets the proper backing from the board then he's still the best man for the job. To date I don't think we've got the players in that Lenny and his team have identified. We've also been hit with the worst run of injuries I can ever remember which is the reason our defence has been so c#@p!

Who precisely ?? Lennon is going Nowhere , he is not a quitter and our board wont get rid of him as there is no one else available or who would want the job ..
I suppose if it does happen people like you would say , "It doesnt matter about the league now we are building for next year , we are in transition" .
You need to start believing that Lennon will be around for a lot longer than people think ..
Start getting behind the team and the manager starting today !!

Oh just a Footnote i mentioned in another thread that since the Huns game we had only lost ONE yes 1 game out of 10 in all competitions ...We need to turn the one pointers into 3 ..The last time something like this happened one Tommy Burns was in charge ...I cant remember anyone calling for his head that season ??:rolleyes: HH !!

Who have we got though ? Chuck may be out , Both Wilsons are out ..Loovens injured ?
Think we only have Rogne left , Maj will have to play as they are the only recognised CBs available ..If we lose with Maj on the bench that will be a different story ...Pelters abound .!!!

    Pfft. 3-0 Motherwell, then what?

Coyle would be tempted. McClaren and Hughes are free.

Lennon SIGNED and MANAGES the players. He's to blame much more than then for the mess we're in.

There's some serious tinted Lennon specs on in this thread.

It could be Jock Stein in charge of us while we're 15 points behind and I'd want him sacked if we don't win today.

Celtic are bigger than ANY one person.

I would hardly call Coyle a Celtic man at all.

Neil Lennon is becoming bigger than Celtic. He is inexperienced unproven and leading us downwards. He struggles to get the best out of his players, ones he bought! Slags them off one week, best pals a few days later.

There gaping cracks are there for everyone to see. I'm surprised he is even on the touchline for this match.

May be a good thing that its an away game cauz the backing from our support at away games is fantastic and this team deff need backing to perform,we all tend to forget how young and inexperienced they are.

The lad Fraser looked a better player and I'd rather have him making the odd mistake than an old hasbeen that we all know isn't good enough. Wanyama's another option to play beside Rogne of course as well.

Majstorovic will be fouling Higdon all game giving away silly free kicks not to mention the fact we'll get caught on the break if we're going for goals due to his utter lack of pace.

What if you live in, say, Norway, are you allowed to slag then? Does going to the games make you a bigger fan?

What if you live in Glasgow, but can't afford to go to games?

I do feel we'll horse Motherwell today. But my unjustified confidence in Celtic is ridiculous.

Awww ffs the old chestnut. I understand that there are fans who live in other countries and cant get to games but some people make sacrifices to support the team and its * annoying when you do to have to read posts from people who dont go support the team but continually come on here and moan about everything and anything to do with the club. And in my opinion this poll is like something the Daily R*nger would put out.
