Good win against the ankle breakers. Solid defensively apart from that goal. Big Dan starting to get back to his best form he showed last year. Rogne is a top class player. Still dissapointed in Commons today but I think a good run of games will get him back to his best. Kayal starting to boss games like he did last season as well. Good solid performance overall

We wanted the 3 points today, badly. How they come about don't really bother me at this stage, lets try and be * positive as we've had loads to moan about already this season. Digest it and moan tomorrow if you like but today is the clubs 124th birthday and wasn't that long ago we thought we were going to be ashes, well done Celts. So for me I'm going to enjoy that beer. Hail hail:50:

One thing I realized today is that Motherwell fans are indeed absolute scum, right up there with Hearts and their ugly Glasgow cousins.

It was hilarious watching them after we scored though, as you could see them giving our supporters dogs abuse for doing The Huddle and getting one over on them in general :bbpd:

if you watched the * game the other night, paddy got subbed for getting studded down his ankle and could not run it off, plus for safety reasons and to stop him from getting a yellow or possibly a red card for retaliation, so you heard it here first.

It was pleasing to see Lenny make the substitutions when they were really needed. I thought Hooper and McCourt came on just at the right times. Signs that lessons are being learnt I hope.

Thought that was an excellent win and I didn't think it was going to come, we didn't look like scoring that second goal.

I didn't expect anything less from Motherwell, pressed us high up the park and tried to kick us off the park. The referee was poor, letting Motherwell players do whatever they wanted and was surprised when he actually did show the red card to one of their players, it should have came much sooner.

I thought Forrest was really poor, but he's only a young lad and we can't expect him to play well every game, especially when the opposition are actively trying to injure you.

Like I said after the midweek game, Wanyama still has to adjust to the pace of the SPL, but he battled well in there and won a few tackles. His passing along with Kayal's was extremely poor.

Commons was murder, don't want to be too harsh because he hasn't played in a while, but he was really poor.

Stokes didn't have his best game, but still managed a goal and an assist for us. His selfishness at the end was ridiculous, we needed a win today so bad and keeping the ball at that free-kick was a no brainer, but no, he wanted to get another goal and instead gave them the ball back.

Happy to see Hooper get on the scoresheet again, hopefully being on the bench for these last couple of games has gave him the boot up the * he needed.

That's exactly the way I want McCourt to be used, he came on as a sub and created the goal for us so fairplay to him.

That was a very tough game and we came out of it with a win so I am fairly happy with that.

dont get me wrong mate i like paddy

but to a regular 1st pick he would have to be a lot quicker sharper about the field

now hes been here what 3 years now and cant get into the team as a 1st pick, so going on what i have seen of him myself, he likes, is comfortable with a slow paced game and wont ever be a 1st pick, he'll always be a last 20 minute man

to be a 1st pick he would have to get ahead of ki, commons, mulgrew, ledley for the left handside role
only mulgrew is less mobile from what i have seen and he ws picked in front of paddy for the ibrox game

An important result but not a performance that gives me a lot of confidence that we can pull of the result regularly enough. The team is still just not right.

That table is still shocking to look at. Its hard to believe the table at times. It looks like something from the early-mid 90s.

excellent result considering the pressure we were under not to mention the lack of protection from an incompetent ref from a motherwell team full of nothing but hatchet men; how lasley remained on the park i'll never know, a dirty wee player in the ian black mould

once again stokes was the main man with a goal and an assist not to mention kayal who was back to his best and even rogne and maj, apart from the goal, looked solid throughout; fair play to paddy playing his part in the winner but i thought samaras wasn't too bad, indeed twas he who set up the first!

all in all reasons to be cheerful though i'm sure the doom mongers will be along pretty sharpish to remind us all we are still 12 points behind; lets just savour this gritty win before we start hounding the team again

great week for the team and the manager, long may it continue :50:

Nonsense mate. He's our most creative player and his lack of game time is an absolute travesty. Would you rather see Samaras down the left? Or Bolo Zenden? I really hope Neil Lennon gives the guy the run he deserves and spends any money we have more wisely on a class centre half. Im afraid I doubt it though.

Reading their forums is some laugh. They've got about 20 members each.

Their fans, those who I have seen at games and on your facebook, are all complete and utter delusional *. Their "ultras" are just a bunch of neds and they used * balloons in their display, pathetic club with a pathetic fanbase.

Very tough place to go is Fir Park, especially given their form and our form, so it's great to get the 3 points. I'll take that every single time.

Hopefully the start of something special.

Always good to get one over those *, go home ya huns :celt_2:
