Got a text off a mate saying Ki, Ledders and Mulgrew are out for tomorrow. If that's true, we're *.

They might be out, but it may be due to the fact that Lenny knows we're just about finished in this competition and wants to make sure they are all fully fit for Sunday.

I can't say that I really disagree, if that is indeed the truth behind it. There can be no doubt that the league is far more important than the Europa.

Ledley & Mulgrew are out. Ki isn't. Big Blow in any case.

Loovens & Commons are back in contention.

4-5-1 as we're blatently not good enough to open up.

    Forster
    Wilson Loovens Rogne Matthews
    Cha Kayal Wanyama Ki
    Forrest
    ...........Samaras

SUBS. Zaluska, Maj, Commons, McCourt, Hooper, Stokes, McGeouch.

Hope that we somehow sneak it!

I know Rogne is ineligible because he wasn't registered on the A list with UEFA but why wasn't he?

    Wit?

Stokes + Hooper were pish on Saturday. Sammy should be fresh and can play the lone-role.

Ki on the left aye but drifting in just like he played in France. Did you no watch the game way Rennes 2 week ago?

As i've said before we're no good enough to open up so i'd expect 1 up and the midfield to be packed whoever it is.

    I forgot about this. :31:

K.Wilson, Loovens, Mulgrew and Maj were obviously thought to be sufficient enough for the Euro Run.

As it is Wilson and Mulgrew are injured, Loovens is just coming back in contention for this match and Majstrojovic is hopeless.

Maj and Loovens it is en.

If Rennes play there first choice strikers Maj will get * horsed.

I've had it with talk about prioritising the league over other competitions and resting our better players. We're playing completely * football and Lennon's being judged on a game by game basis - every game, no matter the competition, should be an opportunity to establish winning form and positive mentality.

Besides, why does resting players necessarily improve their performance in the league games? I can understand the argument towards the end of a busy season: if we're still involved in four competitions, but not before January.

    Forster

    Cha --- M. Wilson --- Loovens --- Matthews

    Forrest --- Wanyama --- Kayal --- Commons

    Stokes --- Hooper

you can guarantee that mulgrew, ki and ledely will most likely be back in the squad for sunday, it's a far more important game anyway; i suspect that commons will probably be back in on sunday as well

    I disagree completely.

We're far from finished in this group. We're 2 points off second place with 2 home games still to come.

We're finished in the SPL. I'd rather focus on Europe and try and go on a run in that tournament. The rewards are far greater. While it won't happen, a wee run to the Quarters or Semi's would do our reputation on the continent wonders. Garners greater interest and makes us more appealing to foreign players when it comes to the transfer market.

We can't beat Hibs or St Johnstone at home, so what makes you think we'll beat Rennes and Atletico?

You are only allowed a certain A list size, 20 players I think, and Rogne simply didn't make the cut.

We've played well in Europe this year. I don't necessarily think we'll beat those teams but I'd love to try to with our strongest team instead of surrendering in order to chase an even greater lost cause.

If we can't beat Hibs or St Johnstone what makes you think we'll beat Motherwell?
