Substitutes

I can't be the only person to notice Lennon's */non existent substitutions?

 

Putting on a forward with 2 mins to go in a must win euro game against the worst french side I have seen was not exactly inspired

 

Habit picked up off Martin O'Neill I think, his subs/non-subs done my * in as well.

 

The only thing I have been worried about is the fact that the last 2 league games has seen us have 4 defenders on the bench in both matches just because these players are "experienced", we have plenty of talented forward thinking youngsters but Lenny is reducing our options to change matches if we are not playing well by having less of a variety of positions in reserve.

 

SPL rules allow 5 substitutes one of which must be a keeper and I think 2 or 3 must be U23 which doesn't leave many options I'm afraid.

I do agree we should be making more use of the subs though when it's obvious we need something different to try and win a game or someone is clearly not on form.

 

yes, its annoying that he doesnt use substitutes when all the support can see we need a change, and then when he makes that change, 9 times out of 10 its usually a substitution that leaves you thinking "EH!?" .. usually never a simple player change, taking over the other players position, usually makes you think "right he must be changing the formation here"

cant remember the game, but im pretty * sure we had 4 strikers on the park for a game he was getting desperate in

 

Aye his substitutions are mental i mean * was bangura gonna do in 2 minutes against rennes. i think its more strachans attitude hes copyin the mentality of complete confidence his startin 11 are capable of 'seein out a game'. translation fear of defeat.

 

Yup but he decided to pick the one that * me off and not Martin's habit of getting big, solid, scary arsed centre backs in the team

 

Has anyone else noticed the past 2 games we've had 4 defenders on the bench? Positive thinking from Lennon, not.

 

We have 8 players out injured mate, that's a helluva lot of first team players out.

Does my * in. If a change is goin to made, especially if the team is oding * all, it should be made at 70 min at the latest.
I always like a change in the 60-65th if things are going *.
