    About to see the Murphys in Eindhoven in februari. I was wondering if they have some kind of Celtic connection. Can't find something about it, so let's try it here...:shamrock:

    Went to see them in Manchester about 18 months ago, one of the band members was wearing a Celtic top. Really good band.

    i was at a concert of theirs a month or so back. there were a couple of people wearing Celtic tops. but this is Maine so i was surprised to see that many. made me think i should have worn mine

    I wore mine at a concert of them in Antwerp and I was not the only one. Would indeed be a good idea. :50:

    Seen them a few times myself but there is no real Celtic connection there. Not one of my favourite bands though.

    DKM have been my favorite band since 2003 or so and I got made fun of in high school quite a bit because I use to wear a few shirts of there's quite a bit. Now everybody listens to them and they still manage to put great music out and are still my favorite band. I use to be that kid in high school who had all the paddy/celtic punk band t-shirts whom no one had ever heard of, lol :50:

    I can even remember the first time I heard them... It was 'Barroom Heroes' & it was on the 'Give 'Em The Boot' sampler from when Rancid launched Hellcat Records & been a fan ever since.

    To this day I really think that the words of their song 'Tessie' could easily be adapted for Celtic... I know it's originally for the Boston but would love to hear 60 000 inside Paradise belt out this:

    'Celtic- nuf said', Lenny shouted
    We're not here to mess around
    Celtic - you know we love you madly
    Hear the crowd roar to the sound
    Don't blame us if we ever doubt ya

    I spoke to the drummer years back and I know for a fact that he is a Celtic fan. He peforms quite alot in a Celtic Jersey too. Just too bad, the singer they had on the debute album is 10 times better than the one they got now. But still a decent band though.

    four leaf clover, just cant get enough.
    Got into them after "Gangs all here" came out. Always really liked them, seen them 15 or so times. Havent gone in a few years.

    The crowds that come anymore are a bit too frat boyish for me (since the * movie "the Departed" came out).

    Would love to see them at one of their smaller shows but I hate big concerts.

    Also thought the last album they put out was the worst thing they have ever done. Their rendition of "The Irish Rover" is the worst version of that song I have ever heard.


    Wear your Celtic top but youd see more of em at a Flogging Molly show.
