Stokes has a real knack for kicking the ball at the goalie...

    Should've done better.

Draw was a good result after that farcical own goal. Too many times though the players were too far from each other and not giving options to the player in possession. We were under pressure and our passing is not accurate enough could hardly even play the ball out from the back whereas Rennes done it with ease. The opposition wasn't the problem, I feel we'll beat them at home depending how much of an improved force they are with they're big players in, but that team was nothing special.

Felt Stokes tried hard and Forster had saves that kept us in the game. Lennon needs to get his finger out and kick some * and get this team to get the basic's right. Rennes attacking 3 v 5 and there players are not closed down or marked allowing too many oppurtunities for them which fortunately for us they didn't convert.

I think Rennes were there for the taking tonight and I honestly believe if we had shown a bit more bottle we could have taken a win back to Celtic Park, after we scored Rennes looked shaky and very uncomfortable, I was screaming at my TV for Lenny to bring Paddy on, change the game! 15 minutes to go, even though I was happy with a point we needed 3, what to lose? Bring off Forrest who put a lot in the match but started to look tired, Paddy could have got us a penatly or at least one big chance to score.

I literally don't understand why he didn't, I can't understand the logic of having a super sub like Paddy, decent pitch, tiring team, it was absolutely perfect to throw him into the match where we could have won it.

He was superb in the second half on Saturday, but I'm really hoping that his performance at the weekend doesn't become a one time kind of thing.

I thought he would have been brimming with confidence going into last night's game, but he should have slotted that first chance around their keeper, rather than blasting it straight at him.

Agree with you Shane, that first chance you have to had composure and put in corner.

They'd have been crying and consoling each other if it was Steven Whittaker that kicked it past his own keeper. Anybody who actually listens to their programme needs to take a long, hard look at themselves :56:

yes on another night we may have won, but to do that away from home stokesy has to take those chances. to be honest, any away game in europe where we dont get beaten is a step in the right direction at the moment.

Just back from Rennes, great city, people and police who were encouraging us to sing louder in the city centre before the game. We were made to feel very welcome, just a shame we couldn't get a win.

    Time to sleep now.

We were very good last night against a very good team. Wake up and smell the coffee. a few days ago you were complaining about drawing 3-3 with Killie!

Enjoyed the game and thought we played quite well. Hopefully a real confidence booster heading back home which we can build on. The commentary was in French here on tv so thankfully I never go to hear Burley. The atmosphere in the stadium looked great. A large Celtic contingent with plenty of tricolours and the home fans with lots of Breton flags. Also loved the huge banner the home fans unveiled at the start saying "Celtic Peoples United Against Racism".
Game wise I though we were good. Fully deserved the point although we needed Forster to rescue us at the end. The only period in the game when we really were put under severe pressure came in the 10 minutes after Ledley equalized. Otherwise I though we defended well and were able to create a few chances ourselves. Another good game from Stokes who showed he can lead the line very clearly last night. Credit to Loovens he was good alongside Mulgrew as was Forster in goal in the second half when he was called on. Ledley and Wanyama in midfield in particular were very good.

Well am delighted with a draw considering we usually * up and get * all, am happy for our fans who have travelled all the way over to france with hope more than expectation and we finaly got what we deserved and a bet every hoops fan in the stadium left with a smile, we have been far from great this year but moaning fans doesnt help.................. the fans stayed with the team against kilmarnock, if it was me a think a would have been stuck for words, but a think the time has come to get behind the team it would give them huge confidence if we sing like * and back them regardless.

Totally agree. We're not getting enough credit for our performance on Thursday night I feel, as some people are still letting their dislike for Lennon as manager blind their judgment of our recent performances.

If we go out and win by a reasonable margin today and do it comfortably, then you can bet that we'll be seeing a lot of apologetic posts towards Lennon on here this evening.
