I want players at Celtic who want to be here, if there is any doubt about his effort and commitment then he should be sold ASAP.

I'm surprised at that because I thought he was from Palestinian descent.

Untrue, Kayal is of Palestine descent. There's a reason why Kayal hasn't signed a new contract.

Israel never played over the weekend to my knowleadge anyway,, but he was fit to travel with the international team and take part in full training on the tues after the Hearts game on the sunday. Something is not right in my opinion.

An Israeli FA spokesman said: “Kayal was checked by Celtic’s doctor before travelling to Israel and was found to be fit and healthy. He has taken part in training.”

Whats the reason? There seems to be a few on here saying stuff and not backing it up with proper facts.

This entire thread comes from people saying stuff and not backing it up. Kayal had a niggling injury. He was unfit for Hearts, but recovered to play for Israel. I'd like to point out that the reason for people's suspicions come from the fact that Hugh Keevins (yes, HUGH F'KIN KEEVINS) wrote an article in which he implicitly inferred, with no basis whatsoever, that Kayal had feigned injury and then gone to play for Israel. The day people start to believe even what Keevins states outright, something is wrong. When people start to believe an implicit inference... * help us.

Haha that's the most ridiculous rumour I've ever heard.

A Celtic supporter had a Palestine flag up at Tannadice last season, and at the end of the game Kayal was loving it, bowing to it and such like. He obviously appreciated it.

My "suspicions" certainly do not come from Hugh Keevins.

I was told, and posted about, this long before Keevins uttered a word about it.

anything I've heard on the subject didn't come from the mouth of Keevins.

I'm not discounting anybody's sources but untill somebody from Celtic comes out and tells us he wants to leave it remains a * rumour.

    well said that man

at the end of the day the only players celtic or rangers can count on for a real slice of loyalty in todays market are home grown lads. boys from the uk who appreciate what we are all about - the foreign lads know we are a big, decent club who can launch them onto the bigger stage. sad, but unfortunately, very true.

I've seen these comments a bunch but no-one is willing to put forth their sources. I'm suspending judgement on this though I do remember some of the Israelis posting on here when we were close to signing him that he can be a bit of a loose cannon and is prone to sulking if things don't go his way. Having said that, nothing in his performances have suggested anything to me that he's wanting away and I really can't see him feigning injury.

Fans turning on one of our best and most influential player due to a rumour ? I'm taking this story with a pinch of salt. Kayal is a professional footballer. Why on earth would he do something like this ? Nobody on this board knows anything concrete about what happened or what is happening at the moment so quite disappointed to see some people believing this when they know it's just rumours.

I haven't seen anyone turning on him.

I believe what I've been told but until I know that it's definitely true then I will be reserving judgement on Kayal.
