What is this with the constant rumours Kayal is wanting out of Celtic, he's rejected a new contract, faked injury before the hearts game or I've even heard he was dropped because he declared he didn't want to play for the club any more :54:

Shock return to action for Kayal

BERAM KAYAL has taken part in an Israel international squad training session just 72 hours after being unfit for Celtic’s crucial SPL clash with Hearts at Tynecastle.
With the Hoops already gripped by an injury crisis that has sidelined stars like Scott Brown, Kelvin Wilson and Emilio Izaguirre, the Parkhead club had been desperate for Kayal to remain in Glasgow and undergo rehab during international week.
But after a scan on Monday gave the midfielder the all-clear he took part in preparations for the meaningless Euro 2012 qualifier with Malta at the Ramat Gan Stadium yesterday.
An Israeli FA spokesman said: “Kayal was checked by Celtic’s doctor before travelling to Israel and was found to be fit and healthy. He has taken part in training.”

    Very strange :97:

Can anyone shed more light on the situation??

He's a silly lad if this is the case. He's just recently been handed the captain's armband, he said he wanted to be respected by the club he was playing for so we can't offer the guy much more.

I'm disappointed the contract hasn't been taken forward though, it should really have been a priority but then again we don't know what is going on behind the scenes.

He is probably as disappointed as everyone else in the direction we are being taken in. The way things are going if we dont improve there will be one or two high profile players wanting away January.

Kayal is a big player for us. Hope it isnt true and we can get him back playing for us.

I think Kayal is a great player, one of the best we've had in years. But if he doesn't want to play for the club then we should be looking for players who do want to play for the club.

    It is bullshit.

He might have aspirations mid to long term to play elsewhere but he has not feigned injury and he is not pushing for a move imminently...especially when it is impossible.

I'd be inclined to believe what I've been told and that he's working his ticket.

Not one of us on here know the full story so no one can claim it's bullshit either way.

However alarm bells should've been ringing the minute he boarded that plane to Israel after "injury" prevented him playing with us just hours earlier.

Well its unlikely the medical staff stated he wasn't fit to play then lo and behold he's fine less than 24 hours later. Logic, therefore, suggests something isn't right.

There were days between the Hearts game and the Israel game, what time the plane boarded at is completely immaterial.

Not one of us on here knows there is a 'story' never mind the ins and outs of it. What I will say though is if he is attempting to manufacture a move at the end of September when he is going nowhere for over 3 months then he is as thick as pigshit.

I don't think he is as thick as pigshit.

He isn't necessarily trying to push his ticket for a move away.
