He is, because he is a chief executive.... You'd expect him to be on a very healthy wage.

But who would honestly reject their bonus to help their company/club? Not many.

It is better than nothing, but it is only a deferral for 2010/11 and in the end he might still claim this bonus. He still earns a fixed amount of 600,000 pound a year, which is 50,000 pound month (which is definitely not unusual for people in his position).

Fair play that he definitely waived a small part of his bonus for 2009/10

people do realise that by deferring it he still gets paid the money, basically whenever he feels like it, at a future date? Good pr by himself, safe in the knowledge he's in for a hefty sum of deferred bonuses in the future.

As Chief Executive of a poor quality team that has failed to win the league against near bankrupt opponents in the last three years and who is ultimately responsible for the hapless squad we are being forced to watch, I believe he is lucky to be still in a job.

Yeah he hasn't actually scrapped his bonus, it's just on the back burner for now.

If he's like other Chief Execs etc he'll get his full whack one way or another. Just a headline grabbing gesture. :54:
