It's easy to say on an internet forum that a player with a torn quad should have went in nets. We were out. Its not throwing in the towel we were finished. There was no talk of Charlie coming back until we had this midfield crisis. Connect the dots ffs. He either rushed himself back or someone asked him back early. It doesnt matter which is true because the player was gutted and also seriously hurt.

I have torn my hamstring twice and been out for months because of it, so there's no need to tell me the 'truth'.

Also if he tore his quad he would most likely have been struggling to walk or limping at the very least. He most likely strained it and will be out for a few weeks.

Understand he will have been devastated but he should still show support to his team mates. It gives off an impression of a lack of togetherness or fighting spirit. Obviously it was going to take a minor miracle to score twice in 4 minutes but we need to have that sort of belief in these types of games in the future, and Mulgrew walking down the tunnel just implied a total lack of belief. Like someone else said if we were 2-1 up he wouldn't have walked down the tunnel.

I am certain that if we had a glimmer of hope that man would have injured himself further to ensure we went through. In fact that is exactly what happened tonight. He came back early to help the club, took off sprinting to try and stop their second goal and injured himself. He should be shown more respect because he put his body on the line for us tonight.

When they scored he's felt 'I don't feel fit I better come off cause we're out I'm not gonna risk being out injuried again' for example ur playing for ur local team the opposition score in the '87 min it's basically saying game over to ur team mates and people that's paid good money to see ur team play. That's the point.

Thats the part that annoys me. We dont have a never say die attitude, and its reflected in how he went down the tunnel and didnt even watch the remainder of the game.

It's extremely difficult and very rare to score 2 goals in a few minutes of football, but its basically never going to happen if the belief factor isnt there, and its something we dont have. We concede too many goals at crucial points in big games, and dont score enough at crucial times.

Look we are all in bad form after going out and I do agree that he should have went and sat on the bench. But I totally understand why he went down the tunnel, he may even have been close to tears you know. We all know that we were out when they scored. He didnt throw in the towel he hurt himself badly trying to save us.

Just a joke mate, as I said earlier not a fan of Mulgrew but I don't think he would throw in the towel that easy. Personally I think he was "eased" back to early due to the injuries and suspensions but that's just my 2p worth.

So you go to the sidelines for treatment, not walk down the tunnel all of a sudden after we concede. It just creates unnecessary drama.

I watched the replay on Cetic tv and you cant see what happened but the commentator does say Mulgrew indicated to the bench that he was injured and pointed to his groin before walking up the tunnel.

I feel for Mulgrew. He looked great playing with Brown in midfield for both Celtic and Scotland before the injuries. Will he fully recover from them? Time will tell.
