So do you guys think Gary Hooper is good enough for England?
Think he will stay after a few games as there will be loads of bids for him?
we could get a Andy Carroll bid ?

    Wayne Rooney
    Darren Bent
    Andy Carroll
    Peter Crouch
    Bobby Zamora

these are the top England strikers...reckon Hooper would get games?

No chance. Not as a Celtic player anyway.

I think he should could see him linking up brilliantly with Rooney as both like to play 1-2s at the edge and make runs from deep. If he did get a chance I think he'd be a regular.

Na not yet, he is good enough to get there one day, but not just yet.

I'd have Defoe, Bent, Rooney, all ahead of him easily, probably Crouch too, but after that he isn't far off at all.

Still think if he shifted a wee bit of weight and upped his work rate a wee bit he would be up there, brilliant finisher and can link up well.

Would be chuffed to bits for him if he ever gets there.

Hooper is better than Defoe imo but it would only be shown if they were in the same League.

Rooney, Bent, Crouch and Carroll are the only ones I think are ahead and Crouch and Carroll are only really because they are the targetman type.

If he gives us 2 seasons of 30+ goals absolutely. Until such times, no chance.

england are crying out for a striker like him who will be in the right places to score goals but he won't get picked because he doesn't play in the epl

Hooper's not looked any better than Stokes this season, so no from me although England aren't blessed with great forwards at the moment.

No he would need to scoring 30 plus up here to even get a look in a few goals in Europe might help his case too.

But when you look at the depth of Strikers England have , Rooney,Defoe,Crouch,Welbeck,Sturridge,Bent, Carroll etc .

He will have a hard time getting a look in .

    It's hardly great depth.

Only Rooney would get a game for Germany, Spain, Italy, Holland, Brazil, Argentina, France, Uruguay....

Plus Welbeck and Sturridge dont suit England as they play wider in 4-3-3 and England either play 1 or 2 upfront.

the man could go score 60 golas for us this season and still the * english wont even scratch their nuts for him. other countries have no problem calling players up for internationals from scotland! the english are typical arrogant bunch as usual and wont even bother their arses about hoops tbh.

Andy Johnson would prob get a game before hoopers name was even mentioned, they don't look at Scotland based English players.

    I'm not picky.
    This.

It seems that no matter how well Hooper will play they will probably overlook him just because he's in a "diddy" league. I mean look how long it too then to even pick Alan Thompson to play for England and he was in his best form when he was playing for us. Even when they called him up, he got one * game and wasn't picked again because he "never done anything" even though he was hardly given the ball.

If he was in England playing this sort of form he would be in possible contention but just because he's in Scotland, he'll get overlooked.

Am very happy with hooper but he will have to excell in this league and in europe before the people down there take notice................ He would have to turn in to a right goal machine.... theres no doubt we will make him better but i expect hoops to move on before he,s 25 because i believe it will get to the point were he,s too good for the spl and we will not knock back a big bid:50:
