Radamel Falcao has scored 6 goals in 3 games, 5 of these league goals. He is a world class player, not the only one in Ateletico's squad.

Udinese had 2 superb games against Arsenal and have went away to the San Siro last night drawing with Serie A champions AC Milan, who themselves recently drew at the Nou Camp against Barcelona.

Rennes went away from home and skelped a team, putting 6 goals past them in Ligue 1 which is always a closely contested league.

Just thought I'd put this out their for a little perspective, we could not have been put in a harder group. Most of the groups in the Champions League would have been easier.

Very hard challenge, whatever we get in Europe is a bonus. We can't let it effect us in the league.

Yeah i noticed i have been looking out for their results since the draw, very tough ask. If we could do 3 wins out of 3 at home and hope to try even sneak a point somewhere away from home i would be delighted.

Solid group, yet folk complain when we lost to atletico. People are still living in the MON era and think we have some divine right to be able to beat teams like these. Our teams worth less than falcao, says it all really. And Udinese looked very good against Arsenal, even though Arsenal aren't up to much this season they are still a good side. Not saw Rennes play but french teams are never poor. Tbh I think we'll be lucky to get a few draws or scrape a win in this group.

I know I shouldn't be pessimistic but realistically I can't see us getting more than 4-6 points from this group. And even then we'd be quite lucky I reckon.

It's not due to the fact that we're bad, but just the other three teams are fantastic.

Di Natale and Falcao would get into any team in the world. Including the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The thing I noticed about Udinese against Arsenal is that they play at a frightening pace, especially on the counter attack.

Atletico in Madrid is as hard a game as we will face in the group, had Hooper buried his chance at 1 nil we would have gave them a proper game. As usual though we shot ourselves in the foot within the first 5 minutes and make it an impossible task.

We will give all 3 sides a proper game at Parkhead.

I agree with that Hammer. Hopefully we can turn Parkhead into a fortress, I always prefer playing teams at Parkhead that are actually better than us in Europe.

We have thrived on being underdogs before...

All we can do is give as good an account of ourselves as possible, especially at Parkhead.

I expect next to nothing in the remaining two away games, but I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least get a couple of draws and maybe even a sneaky victory at Paradise. Maybe against Rennes, the weaker of the three opposing sides.

I reckon we'll be Atletico at Parkhead, we usually save our best perfomances at Parkhead for the best opposition.

The teams in this group of ours could easily constitute a CL group. Hope we do well but can see us at best getting draws ......as always hope I am wrong.

As long as we don't start with Samaras in that * lone striker role again. It worked once at Ibrox back in January, it's been an utter fail since then. Stokes and Hooper are a proven partnership and the only way we'll win these games is if we play them both up front and stop running scared from opposing teams, even if they are Atletico Madrid and Udinese.

I'm far more confident playing against these quality outfits, than I would be against the likes of Utrecht and Sion. We don't do 'favoutites' very well. Might as well be underdogs.

There is nothing like a quality European side coming to Parkhead under the lights and getting sent home with their tale between their legs :50:

Although our defence is * I still think we have the squad to score goals and win games against most sides.

With the likes of Kayal's attitude, hopefully with Broony back in there that is exactly what is required on they nights.

    With Stokes and Hooper upfront.

Our defence is a worry with such quality opposition.

I agree that we should give them all a very good game at Celtic Park.

    Bring them on.

Apart from Athletico Madrid and Udinese obviously, Rennes is a really tough team.

Pretty quick players like M'Vila, left back Mavinga and Pitroipa, plus Dalmat who is still good despite being in his 30s. I don't think we can do much in France, but at home we can beat them if we attack from first minute.

Without a doubt it will be extremely hard to get anything away from home but Atletico and Udinese are there to be had at home imo. Watched some of the Milan-Udinese game and they were very open. Could definitely sneak a couple of goals against them but it will be hard to shut them out. Haven't seen much of Rennes but that was a big win for them last night. Some fans were disappointed with us losing to Atletico but this will be a team who should be giving Barca and Real a tight game this year. We contained them very well in Spain and it will close at home. The only chance of us getting anything though is if we play Hooper and Stokes together. They let us play fluent, attacking football which the Atletico and Udinese defences will struggle with imo. Confident of getting 9, maybe 10 points from this group

That is scary as Ligue 1 games are famous for being very tight games and one of the leauges with the most draws in the world.
