Midfield Four

I think this works better with Izzy in the team. Without Izzy, Ledley kindof lacks creativity and you need Ki in there. Just my thought!

But Brown will never get dropped

 

ask your self what side of the park, with your formation is going to create and score more goals, then ask yourself who are scoring, from the midfield's contribution , then ask your self when we are under attack what side of the park dose, the threat come from, then ask yourself who are on that side of the park, and who in the midfield are not back tracking and picking up, you will arrive at the same player as i have said before getting money for nothing. if you still cant think he has been here the longest. with no end product

I'd always start the games with a midfield four of:

Brown Kayal Ledley Commons

Ki and Forrest would be next in should there be injuries with Paddy or Wanyama as options. I like Brown on the right for his strength and the shift he can put in, Commons for flair, inventiveness and goals, Ledley for his ability to read the game well and cover and Kayal for his all round general good play and dig.

 

if you judge by what a shift you or he puts in, i would say you are on the right track but to just judge, like some at work as they only go home hungry, rather than tired, you will find there are some that are as good as a man short.

When everyone is fit and available, should be

Brown---Kayal---Ledley---Commons

For me it's Ledley over KI everytime.
When fit Brown will start everytime. Rightly or wrongly Brown is Lenny's captain, and very, very rarely will the manager leave his captain on the bench. So forrest will have to remain patient for just now. I am very confident he will be a big player for us in coming seasons.

When on form Commons is one of our best players, showed it last season. Unfortunately he hasn't got going this year, but I'm sure he will find that form again, once he improves his match sharpness and fitness. I think this break he has had will have done him the world of good

The midfield that did so well for us for the second half of last season was

Brown, Kayal, Ledley and Commons

I really hope that Neil will go back to this line up. There has been too much tinkering this season and it hasnt worked.

Lets go back to what we know and build on it.

 

For SPL games it should be a 4 of:

McCourt = Kayal - Ki - Commons

Solid in the middle and natural wide players who can take out a fullback. The 4 players with best technique and passing ability by a mile.

 

Going by Lennon's way of managing, i think he see's his strongest midfield 4 change on the opposition. I think we could put any 4 in of all the options suggested and have the strongest midfield between the two teams. Great Depth in our current squad

It's Brown, Kayal, Ledley and Commons for me.

 

Totally get that mate. Izzy and M.Wilson bring great balance to the team when they play together and Ledley can drop off and let izzy, Commons Wilson and Brown bomb forward and thats the creativity. But if Ki is in then I don't think Ledley should start at all because he is totally wasted on the left and is just ineffective.
Still think when everyone is on form I would still have Ledley in before Ki. Its a tough call though! Must be a helluva headache for Lennon...in a good way.

Ki and kayal have to be there everytime as far as im concerned

 

Ki/brown kayal ledley commons...can ki play on the right of midfield? actually juarez who`s best position is meant to be RM. AMR we let go on loan, but if ki can go there all the better to get broony out of this team at the moment he holds us back for our passing game.
