After Majstorovic's shambolic performances recently, I am really looking forward to Loovens displacing him and getting back into the defence alongside Wilson. We were cruising along quite well with Loovens and Wilson at the back, until Glenn got injured, but it has all gone to pot since that big eedgit Dan came back in.

Loovens and Wilson look a solid partnership to me, and both have real pace and movement which will be needed at Ibrox soon, and hopefully Europe too, and Loovens is pretty good for nicking goals for us too from corners and set pieces, something we have badly lacked in the team since last year, and Loovens has actually scored a goal in every seven games he has played for us, not bad at all for a centre back.

Been saying since last season that Loovens is better. Doesn't make me a fan of him either mind you.

He'll do for now, I suppose. Very poor player and one we should be looking to sell ASAP, though.

Think he did well in the games he played so far this season.

It's a sad day if you're sitting praying for the return of Glenn Loovens. :97:

Get Loovens to *. Play Kelvin Wilson and Charlie Mulgrew at centre-back with the new Moroccan boy at left-back.

I'd prefer Charlie and Kelvin as first choice just because Charlie's so much better with the ball but I've got no problem with Loovens. He ended last season strongly and started this season well so I've really got no beef with him playing as long as he keeps it up. At this point I'd play Wanyama at center-half ahead of Big Dumb Dan, guy shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

shaky start, but youve got to expect that on his debut. after the first 15-20 minutes he looked decent.

Form wise yes i'd have Mulgrew in with Kelvin at the moment but as for long term choosing what is a make shift CB in Charlie over a proper 1st choice CB in his natural postion is worrying.

Edit; Plus 1 poor game for Loovens then he'd be back to being the scapegoat along wi Sammy and Maj...........

Long term I'd like to see Thomas Rogne and Kelvin Wilson as our centre-back pairing. Rogne has to stay fit though, that's the big problem.

he's young too, should be one for the future. Loovens hasn't done anything wrong since his loss of form last year, but it's gonna take a while for me to build up confidence in him again, especially after the huns OG incident.

Loovens started well this season, but he is to prone to blunders for me. Mulgrew and Wilson at CB for me with El Kadoouri at LB.

Im not a big fan of Loovens but I think Wilson Loovens will be the pairing Lennon is most likely to go for. I think Loovens has improved a bit since he joined.

Could live with that. Our CB's at the moment will probably learned as much as they could have from Maj and Loovens the now so their experience will ultimately come from game time and forming a reltionship at the back.

But like you said T.Rogne needs to stay fit for more than 6wks at a time.

Have anyone even seen this guy play? I havent. Let's proof himself if he's up to it I'd say.

Yes but with Lennon signing him on the last day, its pretty obvious he wants him in straight away, but i do know what you mean:50:.

I think Loovens has all the basics needed - some pace, decent tackle, normally good in the air. I have long thought he actually has the basic abilities of a CH more than most Celtic players. I am not sure about his positional sense. Sometimes it looks good and sometimes not. I think players tend to get labelled for one or two incidents and if I have heard that 'wrestled off the ball by Kenny Miller' story once I have heard it 100 times. Anyone can be caught slightly off balance. I am not sure about Loovens but I am sure he is better than the compete disaster that is Maj. Rogne is permainjured and not yet convinced about him either. He is easy turned and slow. I persomally would not be unhappy giving Loovens a run at CH with Kelvin Wilson. That would actually be an experienced pairing of guys who have done well at championship level. They should be able to stroll the SPL.

It would appear Lennon agreed with you given he started the season with Loovens alongside Wilson at center back. Personally for me it would be between Rogne and Loovens to start alongside Wilson.
