    Isn't Nicky Shorey pretty well established in the starting line up at WBA?
    If some more of the rumours had come true this August it could have been very weird for me...Noel Hunt, Shane Long, Dave Kitson, Nicky Shorey, Marcus Hahnemann, would have been like the good old days at the Mad Stad.

    lol i'd take that. would of liked another striker as well as a few heading for the exit.

    Shorey and Ridgewell would be a huge defensive boost.

    i think this was the type of rumour that Silent Singer was waiting for before going bed.

    Birmingham rejected a transfer req from Ridgewell so i doubt he'll be leaving them as for Shorey id be happy to see him at Celtic he's a real decent left back he'd do a job until Izzy comes back from injury.

    Like the idea of Ridgewell coming in, I think he's a great player and we do still need a quality CB for me. Not sure about Shorey, decent enough player but no better than what we've already got for me, and we've got enough decent cover in full back positions anyway.
