Can we stop being so fickle?

Watch what happens if we beat Rangers at Ibrox in a few weeks.

"Aye, Sion got lucky".

"We had an off night".

"Lenny, you're a * legend mate".

Fickle indeed.

 

It would weed them out and our attendances would plummet, but as soon as it picked up they would all come back again.

There is no excuse for tonight, we are better than Sion and should be able to beat them. We didnt, but i still believe in what Lenny is trying to do with our club. I would like him to get a little bit more money to spend on the squad, but i think thats a different issue.

I was just shocked at the way the pub is was in went from, We are shyte, o we scored we are brilliant now come on celtic! Then back to us being shyte again!

I will just add, i actually get * off with Huns i know for doing the same thing with their team. When they lose and we win they are devastated and want the manger sacked! When they win they are brilliant and celtic are *!

There is no middle ground and looking at the big picture over the season. Its one extreme or the other with both sets of fans and i think it is stupid.

 

Cant understand the mentality of some people.
Can't see how a Celtic fan could watch that game and not be furious at the end.
Why bother if you're happy win, lose or draw?

There is a diffenence between being "bothered" and calling for a manager to be sacked...

 

Wasn't just the fact we got beat.

I honestly thought that we would have came out tonight and played our hearts out and gave 100%.

Ok, Maj getting hoofed was a blow and then the penalty not good either but even then I thought with being down to 10 men there would have been enough spirit in the team to pick up and go for it.

I think spirit is the key word here, the team just looks jaded and down trodden this week and you would wonder is there an element of unrest about the dressing room.

I hate speculating or rumour mongering but what else could make a team go on such a sharp downwards spiral in such a short time.

Even Alan Thompson shouting at a TV cameraman for pointing it at the dugout was a bit unusual to say the least.

Hopefully its a flash in the pan and we can get back to our winning ways again before we face the huns in a couple of weeks.

Lenny has to take stock on his team selection and tactics and give up waiting on players that he likes, to come into form rather than players in form on the bench.

Maybe it is mind boggling decisions like this that is affecting our good players and their performances.

 

There are no calls in this thread for the manager to be sacked.
His tactics were laughable and i'm seriously * off that wr've been humiliated again by a poor European side.
What the * is wrong with that?

 

SOME FANS NEED TO GET A GRIP.

Most, if not all Celtic Fans are angry and hurting at the moment. Every single person/fan is entitled to voice their opinion and greviences. But some fans need to have a wee word with themselves. Some are calling for Lennon to go, some say Lennon hasnt a clue about team selection/subs etc and he should go.

He is new to the Managerial Role. He needs to make many mistakes in order to learn from them. He will make more huge mistakes in the comming season, He is a rookie manager and he needs time to learn and grow. No-one on this planet is born with outstanding great managerial skills, To become a good manager takes time and effort and many many mistakes. Great Managers have made errors/mistakes throughout their career. Lennon knows what it means to be a Celtic supporter and he will know that he has let us down big time, but dont you think that he will learn and grow from all the bad desicions and mistakes he has made.

I think we should give him 2 seasons at least to grow as a manager at Celtic Football Club. Managers need time to become Great Managers.

At the next home game, all the fans should get behind N.Lennon and show that we all support him and have faith and beleif in him. We should give him the chance to at least try to become a good great experienced Celtic Manager.

It's simple. We need to lower our expectations considerably and realise there is no convincing reason why we should be beating teams like Sion. This is our level as far as I can see.

As for lennon he picked maj when he could have signed better players.

Forster was never as good as players we've been linked with i.e gordon or cudicini.

He plays 4 centre midfielders which gives us no width whatsoever and with forrest on the bench whose made an impact since coming on in every game youd wonder how long it takes before he plays from the start.

he doesnt play his top goal scorer in a game we NEED goals and if wilson is on the bench then hes fit enough to play otherwise its a waste of a substitution.

We SLATED mowbray for this sorta stuff so why not lennon?

 

We have 45 thousand season ticket holders, they don't even have 10.
Our top earner is on 25k per week, theirs is on 1600.
We are known worldwide, they are mostly unheard of.
Are these decent enough reasons for us expecting to beat them?
