Of course they don't want him. But you missed out one very important fact on Maxi just there. He's *.

I follow Liverpool. I agree, Maxi is rotten nowadays. So far past the player he was 5 years ago. I think Paddy is a better player now to be honest.

Paddy wont get first team football at Liverpool. He'll be further down the pecking order there than he is here... How many midfielders are there at Liverpool? And we think we've got too many midfielders...

We need to have some players to sit on the bench for most games, why not Paddy who is a low earner and can do a job when called?

So you're saying you would want to see Celtic beaten in Europe?

Butch you really know how to wind folk up! If this was school I would fear for you at 3:30pm, I really would!

On topic, I would keep Paddy, however can't ever see him playing regularly. Will be back up at best and an impact sub more often than not!

But if you want to compete on all fronts - 3 domestic competitions and Europe you need a big enough squad and quality throughout it.

And there's no doubt Paddy is a quality player! He just doesn't do it often enough! Still nowhere near as frustrating as Mr 'Just stepped out a salon' though.

Doesn't make sense at all, for any party involved, we need him in our squad.

Agree with the above, with one exception, why the * dont we keep him as a bit part player, and bring him on with 20 to go when we need to change the game....he has sat on the bench used sparingly for the last couple of year....he doesn't cost the earth in wages....so Keep the Derry Pele for a game when a team parks the bus and we need to unlock them....simple really.

I'd let him go for 2/3 million. It's obvious he's only gonna be thrown on late on in games and I would personally much prefer Forrest as an impact sub. We've got our debt right down so let's sell bit part players, get them off the wages and buy using the money from selling them.

    What a pile o' pash.

If it ended up being true though, he'd be quite welcome to play a back-up role at another big club where his chances would be even more limited.

However, it's complete nonsense. I don't know how the tabloids get away with it.

wish paddy all the best, why waste his time here, as there so many football brains in here, saying he"s crap and a impact sub lol, a guy they never seen playing anywhere, other than the odd 15 min, but are full of judgment, go on Paddy make a few bob, and come back and haunt a few, on here. most on here are Rag readers, and believe every word from them. and should Lennon have the courage
to drop the dross, we would be in a stronger position, and we would have known by now our strongest team, up till now we are as far away as ever, deciding who is in the line up.

Paddys a fans hero that's it. He is a luxury player. This is not what Celtic needs. Everytime you play ugly in Scottish football it can bring success. It's known. He only plays well off the bench and doesn't look like when he starts he can last 90 mins. He looks very unhappy just now. Thinly he would be better if he worked on his upper body strength. Looks a bit frail in that department.

yes he can come on for 15 mins and change a game ...However we are in the SPL and cant keep someone on the bench for 70 mins a game then bring him on for the last 20 ..Its not a viable option ..Clubs with money can do that ..we just havent got the money ..Personally i would take the money and spend on a player that will play for 90 mins most games

    Predictable reply

Of course not ...Paddy is a luxury we cant afford we need players on the bench yes we have a strong squad every member of that squad should be able to perform over 90 mins paddy doesnt fit into that criteria ...Lennon has built his team round certain players and Paddy just doesnt fit in
