panic = no title

reading in on the posts regarding transfers i've become a bit embarrassed by some of the things being said ,are we so used to players coming in quickly over the last 2 seasons that we cant handle a bit of composure and taking time to get the right man at the right price.
we know we dont need many in like before so we can take our time and do it right ,lenny knows wots needed ,our board know ,and we know ,it will happen ,wot worries me is our complete panic that its not done as fast as we like is gonna hurt us .
this blind panic that they may get 4 in a row is making us desperate and edgy ,if we hit a wee dip this season then this is gonna hit the team making it harder to get our form back.
its time to calm down and wait ,dont you think the club want the title as much as we do ,they are not out to hinder our progression ,they want wot we want, we just dont know wots going on behind the scenes so we have to trust wots happening, no one wants the blame if it all fails at the end of the season ,* forbid.
i reckon we will have a keeper and a striker poss a loanee to, in just over a week . we will see

 

As much as I would like a CF, a CB, and a LB, none of these positions have me panicking. The goalkeeper however does have me worried. Partly because the GK is part of the team's spine, partly because I do not believe that any of your key players should be loanees - not if your trying to build something.

 

no wonder people are panicking were 2 games into the season and we haven't signed a keeper yet.

 

the loanee may be to cover lb , but the gk position i think is taking longer as newcastle are proving difficult to deal with,i think its no secret that lenny wants forster ,and he wants to come back to the team ,its not helping that we appear desperate to get him ,this is the stumbling block.

 

keano ,thats down to us starting the season early and english transfers are just kicking off ,most will be done in the final week before it closes .

 

im not very worried ATM, i know we really need a CB and ST, but a GK should be our priority...I have total faith in lenny to stop 4IAR. We were a far better club last year, whats to say we wont be this year? HH

We definitely need to have a keeper alright. This is reason to panic. Looks like lenny was panicking even a little bit in the interview about Kayal's injury over losing Sandomierski to Genk. If we don't get Forster or someone else comes out of the woodwork we could be in some trouble in Europe obviously but also in the glasgow derby and against some of the better clubs in the SPL. Zaluska ain't it, all he's done is prove that since he's been signed.

 

i still cant believe we haven`t sold some of the fringe players to maybe release some funds we have about 6-8 high earners who won`t get near the first team.

 

i think we made an offer to the polish club we thought fair ,but our real target is forster and be backed off from the polish keeper when they wanted more ,i dont think we lost him ,i think he was never first choice .

this is a worry , all the friendlies we played you would hope some would be picked up .

 

i think why we haven't seen the necessary arrivals is because we haven't gotten rid of the deadwood.

 

imo i think zaluska could do a job if given the chance ,and gaining some confidence but our problem is we cant afford to get it wrong and why i feel we are pressured into this cauz if we dont get a keeper and we dont get the title ,we have an angry mob the likes of in london recently.

 

3 seasons without at title. No goalkeeper our best player out for 6months and our best midfielder out for the next league game.

The english transfer window doesnt shut till Aug 31st so we should wait till then? What has the club been doing all season? Do we wait until the end of May and then go out and strengthen the squad?

This close season has been a complete farce signing wise. The blame lies squarely at the feet of Lawell and the board. Once again they are incapable of building on the foundations of a good side.

I am not panicking though cos its gonna be alright. Isnt it. And as long as we accept what the board do and tell us we will continue to have to put up with this *.

I have stopped laughing at the Orcs some time ago.

Sure you're right. But it's taking too long now. In June we all said 'we have 2 monts left get a grip' but now we already missed out on players who looked more than capable of doing the job: Pletikosa, Mphela and Sandomierski. And its 12th of August already.
