Are you for real? I remember the game and the mancs could of being 5-0 up at half-time. Man utd took foot of the gas and city restored pride which is the least you expect from a team that cost around 200 million. I don't like either team obviously but have far more respect for Utd.

 

Has he been doing his version of the 'missing man' routine ScouserChris? Saw him loads at Liverpool don't think he's good enough and that's not just a bitter reponse, he's a mackem through and through be good to see him go far, "Next Steven Gerrard" what a load of trash.

Watched him in the Carling Cup Final and he looked like he was struggling, lacked confidence on the ball although he played quite well against Arsenal recently I noticed, never a top drawer player IMO, very good hardworking midfielder with bags of potential but not good enough to be in that Liverpool team.

He goes missing for large spells of the game too often for me, still young but IMO never going to cut the grade, I can see him coming back here if I'm being perfectly honest.

 

Henderson was awful in the cup final.

 

I just don't see what he offers. He has great energy but apart from that he has being a massive let down. As have Downing,Carroll,Adam and others. I just can't believe in the space of 3 years we went from a midfield of Alonso,Mascherano and Lucas to Henderson,Adam and Spearing.

 

Don't know how much you watch of Celtic Chris, but, IMO Forrest is a far superior right midfielder than Henderson.

In fact, for me he wouldn't get anywhere near our midfield. Average player, he has nothing special about him.

He might turn into a great player but atm I just don't see it.

 

As someone who has watched both very closely, I absolutely agree, I think Forrest has much more to his game.

 

Massive fan of Forrest he is exactly what we don't have. Real pace on the flamks who takes on his full back. I am sick of Downing and Henderson running 10 yards with the ball then turning back and playing a simple 5 yard pass.

 

Not surprised you both agree. Really just shows considering you two Bhoys know exactly what both players are capable of.

Liverpool have always been my English team and I've said for years that wingers are needed.

Really can't remember the last quality winger to play for Liverpool? Thought Babel was going to be great but that obviously never worked out.

 

Havnt had a decent winger in years. Babel never really got a good enough chance to be fair. Mostly sub appearances.

City didnt just restore pride in the second half...they embarrassed the rags and had them begging for the final whistle...

Its pretty obvious they relaxed in the second half, its something which utd have been guilty of all season is dropping the tempo of their play and backing off, if they kept the tempo they had going in the 1st half when you were chasing shadows they wouldve controlled the second half aswell. And your making it sound like you had loads of clear cut opportunities in the second half when you didnt really, kolarov scored a free kick, you capitalised on a mistake from scholes then created very little until the end when there was a goal mouth scramble. And then United won at the COMS yet again.

 

You reckon the difference evans would have made compared to the difference Kompany would have made is equal? Yeah ok...lol. We ripped you a new one in the second half with 10 men....didnt see that happening in the previous game...your delusion knows no bounds. Oh and were not bitter...just better

 

If if if...fact is they didnt....they lost composure in the second half and like I said before...even if you as fans couldnt see it baconface could. No matter how much he wants to project the image that united are relaxed and in control over City, anyone with half an idea can see he's worried about playing us...and rightly so
