Stokes, clearly, should have been played up front.

I'm not blaming Samaras for the result, I'm blaming Lennon for starting him. He is *

Samaras and stokes were both trying to go wide constantly. A think it showed that we have players when not playing we struggle. Everyone gets on commons back because he is not ringing them in from 30 yards. Commons hardly makes a stray pass. The rest did. A thought it was just a all-round poor performance. Everyone knows Samaras has the ability to be a good player. He just isn't doing it time after time. Think the jury has its verdict on him now.

Where the * did I blame our performance on Samaras ? Stop making * up, I've already said that Samaras wasn't the worst on the pitch. He was still poor though.

So why are we continuing to single out Samaras after a poor performance all round by the team. The tie isn't over regardless, I'm confident we will win. If not, then we should be sour grapes and complain to fifa about the rules regarding ineligible players.

I doesn't matter if he's on the wing he should be playing a lot better than that. I bet if Sammy was pushed out wide and he played as badly as Stokes he wouldn't be getting any excuses made for him.

Sammy was pushed out wide for a bit and played equally as *.

The bottom line is that neither of them should be anywhere near the wing, they should have both played up front together. If they had then I reckon we'd be discussing a completely different result tonight, a more positive one without a doubt.

I'd just like to add that Stokes' dive was disgraceful, not something I'd consider Celtic class, horrendous attempt at cheating usually only seen by "Naisy" or Jelavic.

I think all we done the full night was play on the wings. Ya need to make better deliveries in the box and have numbers in there. Not going to make excuses but the referee was very poor. Stokes should've got a penalty. Keeper brought him down.

He fooled me a thought it was a penalty. The ref was still a joke. I thought the rules where if you go down you have to go off the park. They're players went down for a minute then he let them stay on.

What I don't get is that Lennon played Stokes on the wing from pretty much the start so it was clearly in his mind that he wnated Sammy as a lone striker - why not then just play Forrest, a natural winger, as opposed to sticking a centre foward on the wing?

Oh and I would be * ecstatic if I never have to see Sammy wear that jersey again, beyond useless doesn't do that donkey justice. Brown is * poor as well, can't even complete a 10-yard pass - the man lives off a famous goal celebration.

Cha was good, gave us a different dimension.

I should also add that as * as the game was, it's got me in the mood for going to CP again. First time I've been in 10 years... :icon_rolleyes: haha. I think I'm gonna try and get to games more often this season. If the financial situation allows it.

Stokes out wide v Aberdeen = Struggle to score

Stokes out wide v Sion = Struggle to score

is it to early to say a pattern is emerging or Does Lennon see something I dont?

How should I say this...... We sucked. :54:

Had a bad feeling from the word GO about the way this match would pan out. If we don't TAKE the game to them in Switzerland WE ARE DONE.

I hope the board relise that getting things right on the park is more important than debt levels . The team need some investment .

We had the misfortune of having every good free kick saved by Vanins. It was annoying.

Lenny played Samaras like he is supposed to, too bad he didn't see that you need to have another striker to take the ball when you're playing with a target man. It's very disappointing he went with that tactic even after the first half. It was so obvious.

Even though I believe we played the Wrong formation and had players in wrong positions, Last night does go to show that Without Hooper n Stokes combo we don't have another striker who can put the ball in the net.
That my friends is a scary thought, we need another proven goal scorer as Sammy and Murphy will never slot in and score the necessary goals im afraid.
