Not that I'm overly concerned about the fortunes of Scotland on the international scene, but from a Scottish & even a neutral perspective that is a very do-able group, in terms of qualifying from. Considering some of the big sharks they have avoided there really will be no excuses should they fail this time. They have a decent manager, a decent squad to work with & a decent draw. Can't ask for more than that.

    * bullshit that group.

scotland will do ok i think..wales will go down...belgium might put up a challenge..the cros will be hard and if we dont get our * finger out we'll be going nowhere.

We've good defence, good midfield..but we've hardly got any good strikers worth their showing ffs. I think we'll do ok..as long as we train hard and play hard, being cautious not to self implode and sit back if we get ahead. and don't get into any sort of trouble.

As for the game against the cros..really am not that bothered by them tbh..like every other team they have their weaknesses its just a case of who wants it more and showing up on the day.

Scotland is the only team in that group with nothing to lose and everything to gain.

    I agree.

Every game will be difficult, there are not teams like Andorra, San Marino or Luxembourg and everyone will have to work hard to win the points.

that's why it's good thing to ban away fans to come to serbia/croatia.. this could settle things down a bit...

if nothing this group will be very interesting and there are no easy games... can't wait..

For some reason I thought Sweden was in the group.:52: Still, Scotland will profit on tough games between the ex-YU teams in which nobody will take 6 points from each other.

First of, greetings to all celtic fans from croatia :)

I'm a huge fc celtic fan, even been to a couple of games (more than 10:) ). Got some friends from ireland that i spend summer with, so every once in a while I go with them to glasgow :)

This isn't a group many of us hoped for. First of, there's belgium. And dont give ur hopes up in that country seperating, that's not gonna happend. They have excellent yougn players who can give their prime in qulifiers for wc2014. Frankly, i fear them the most.

Next, there's macedonia that really doesn't suite croatia, and scotland too.
I dont fear wales, i dont think that they will be a problem for us. And to be honest, i expect scotland to end up 4th, behind croatia, serbia and belgium :(

But i wish that i'm wrong about this :)
And finally, serbia.. I really dont think u realise what this match means to both sides. If u ask croats and serbs what would they like more, that their team wins and that they dont qualify, over 95% would take it. Myself included :)

Serbs have better defence, but we are way better with offence and a little better in midfield. But none of that matter. Just for demonstration, Serbs have way better basketball players. Probably best basketball team in europe with spain included. Croatia sucks in basketball. But when we play serbs, it's always and I really mean always a close call. That means that serbs with 10 times better team cant win easily. Same goes for handball where croats rule and serbs suck. We cant beat serbs easily even tough we have far better players then serbs.

Expect all from croatia vs serbia match, coz everything is possible. Even riods that would delegate both teams from WC2014 :)

But of course, no fans will go on away games. It will be forbiden, borders cloesed for 1-2 days etc. And it's better that way, coz of many hooligans we have on both sides. There would be probably dead people. This way I expect two really hard games, lots of tackles, not a lot of goals (probably none) and a crazy atmosfere.

Cya folks, probably gonna drop in from time to time :)

Quite hard group but it could have been worse.

Hopefully the sfa dont make a mess of the fixture list like they have in the past.

We dont want to be going to Macedonia in the summer time. Get them in October or March

Also maybe playing Wales away in one of our last two matches. As Wales will proberly not have a chance of qualifying then.

Trying to avoid playing in June.

Its things like that, could give us a better chance of qualifying.

Good to see the Serbs/Croats/Macedonians/Belgians/Welsh on this forum. And they where on here before the draw was made! Just goes to show you the power of Celtic that we have fans in these countries as well.

Scotland wont win the group, but i think they can finish 2nd. All those teams in the same area playing each other can help them - and Scotland needs the help

the problem here is the croat team wear their hearts on their sleeves and as they've proved before they will go hammer and tongs for what they want when it really matters.

We have a bit of work to do in that regard...we can do this..we need to get in the zone and not do stupid * mistakes (passes going astray, poor shots on target) all the players need to be sharp 100% and give their all..no place for sloppy play.

I don't think either us or the cros will win the games, because there is too much at stake..getting the 1 point for a draw is alot better than the 3 points..If we go through it will be gaining points off other teams..could be wrong though.

I think Colombia are in with a real shout of winning the 2014 World Cup. Another big win last night - 5-0 against Bolivia. Sitting second in the table with a game in hand over Argentina as well

Didn`t see the Argentina game either as the * electric went but another good win for them. 3-0 against Venezuela with Higuian (2) and Messi the scorers. That attack will be absolutely lethal in Brazil with Messi, Higuain and Aguero the front 3

Argentina, Italy and of course Brazil look good for the World Cup.

Can't see any other teams coming close.

I can see Spain being opened apart in Brazil and hopefully by France this coming week.

I reckon Argentina might do it. If they can fit all their best players into a suitable formation, Messi, Pastore, Lamela, Lavezzi, Aguero, Tevez and Higuain is a huge amount of attacking talent to have at their disposal.

And since Messi has recently been scoring for fun for Argentina, I can see him having an amazing tournament.

I hope they do win it for his sake.
