    I've been on TalkCeltic for a while now, and when the topic of Strikers comes about, Rasmussen is synonymous with tags such as "disappointment" and "waste of space" from supporters.

    I think he deserves a proper chance to prove himself in the Celtic team; he's done exactly what's asked of him so far by Lennon- performing well on his loan spells at Aalborg (6 goals in 14 apps) and FSV Mainz (2 goals in 5).

    Under Mowbray rule he didn't 'bang in the goals', so to speak, (although he did clinch an important winner at Hibs); but i don't remember any player under Mowbray that performed to the best of their ability.

    He's already proved himself as a goalscorer in the Danish league.

    I've thought from when he got sent on loan that he deserved a chance, he is a goalscorer who barely got a chance, any loose ball in the box, he will put it away, whether he gets that chance or not is up to Lenny.

    See what you mean but dont think his ability to score goals is really the issue. At a team like celtic most strikers will score goals but they have to bring more to the team than just that. From what I've seen he is an opportunistic poacher, the majority of his goals are scrappy.

    Hooper is a fantastic goal mouth predator, great link up play with stokes and excellent movement. Stokes will drop deeper, link up well, make the odd challenge, spray the passes about and occasionally come out with something spectacular. Rasmussen scores tap ins....

    A place on the bench would be kind to him.

    If it was between Ras, Sammy and Murphy I'd much prefer Rasmussen to be given a chance, simply for the fact he actually scores.

    Ideally though we'd punt all three and bring in Mphela and Musona.

    get rid of him, i watched him in the friendly against thistle and im not even sure he could of got in their team! he is dire! unless he is one on one with keeper he is useless

    He would have offered a lot more to the team and scored a * of a lot more goals than Murphy did last last season.

    I agree he deserves a chance, but remember Lenny does see him everyday in training.

    I thought he could be worth a 2nd chance... then i went to the Partick Thistle friendly where he trudged around for 90 mins and contributed almost nothing.

    He is terrible. Seen him play at the Partick Thislte Game and he was absouately pish, looked really fat aswell

    He is very immobile which doesn't suit our style at all. Didn't get a chane under TM mainly due to keane being here and his glory boy fortune. He did good under TM but Lenny obviously doesn't rate him. Even in last years pre-season he looked very heavy, not interested and jus stoated about.
    Get rid and bring in a player who can play or style

    Don't think he suits our style and he'll be sold.

    That being said, I don't rate Mphela or this other guy we've already had on trial and would be as happy Rasmussen playing than those 2.
