we are in a world where our fellow man is still suffering and with most dying before the hit the age of 5! this must stop ,this has to stop, but why are we seeing this again? why did the last summit at gleneagles with the power leaders not fix this once and for all? im sick to death seeing these people suffer and suffer so badley.it boils my blood that no matter what gets raised this keeps happening.its not right and it aint fair guys:54:

If this famine was mocked you'd be arrested for racism, here it's banter, both are heartbreaking, * angers me.

Terrible tragedies occuring in these 3rd world countries.

I would give my money to them if I trusted the people in need of it would actually recieve THE FULL AMOUNT.

these types of things should never be happening in the day and age, disgraceful.

all the fat cats and celebs will be out in there £100k motors and thousand ££££ suits making out like they give a * about it while donating * all of there own money.

millions of money spent on bullshit that isn't needed yet these folk haven't even got water to drink......

Good topic. Potentially the worst humanitarian disaster of the 21th century with 10 million live at stake. I'm defintely going to give them some money as there will always go something of it to feed them. Hope they get bailed out as well or maybe that's only privilege to the banks.

thats not true! there are a lot of celebs, singers etc that do a lot of charitable stuff for things like this. michael jackson was the biggest and i still think his charity still continues pump millions towards charity, you also have lady gaga who did a jewellery set and sold it all for charity. i also think the beckhams do this aswell along with tom cruise and jenifer lopez? either way we need something to happen now that will stop this .

would it surprise you if they did it for the good publicity, plus they raise money for charity.no out there fat pockets. when they stop spending daft amounts of cash on dresses and other stuff that they don't need to and give that money to the causes then i'll respect them. until then i don't believe there sincere

respect to the ones who give the money out there own pockets but

Buying nice cars etc is necessary to keep the country going and tbh if someone wants to buy a £50 k car then I see nothing wrong with it . However, when someone is in a position of power and they decide to give someone a bonus worth a few million for doing 'eff all then that is wrong . Throwing money around like its worthless should not happen when £20 could feed one of these families for days and even save a life .

I'm all for helping people like this out when they need it but , why not concentrate on feeding the hungry and homeless in our own country first?

The charity match against Man United will raise funds for it so hopefully the money can go some way to helping i know it sounds evil but after all the stories you hear of money from charity going to scumbags like Mugabe i just don't find myself trusting them to give them my money and i wont be the only one that thinks this i can't really bring myself to look at the pictures and stuff it just knocks me sick thinking about it why in 2011 this is happening is beyond belief.

what makes it so much worse is that i read in the metro today that local islamic groups stop aid from getting into certain areas meaning that the people who need help the most are left with out any.
